This one is Gloss Black Powdercoated rated for 130A.

Will look nice on the gloss black block with chrome everywhere.

Cheers!

Yeah, more info please. Such as, is it a "freewheeling" unit at WOT like our stock ones?

This is the 4G model fro PA Performance. I got it with the factory 6-rib pulley and it does not have the clutch so it does not free wheel at WOT. IMHO, that is a good thing. It is rated at 130A too and this thing is HEAVY!

$299 with the Gloss Black Powdercoat finish.

Cheers!

Did you verify that the regulator is correct for the Marauder? The Cobra version 4G has a different type of regulator and it won't work on the MM. Been there, done that...

Yes, he asked me the color of the three prong connector socket (which is what I assume is the regulator on the back) and I went out to look at mine. It sure looked grey on the car so that's what I told him.

If this is not the right regulator, they will get me the right one.

Thanks for the note though. It is on the list when it comes time to plug it in.

Cheers!

What is the claimed AMP output of our OEM alternator?
Mine runs a little low on the AMP gauge at idle with the underdrive crank balancer.

BTW: that gloss black looks BADA$$!!

What is the amp rating for the OEM alternator? My Big Red Book, section 414-02-01 says the "generator and regulator" (book's words not mine) specs are: F6LU-CA, 130 amp output, 2:73:1 pulley (one way clutch) Book also says the "generator" and it's location are the same between 2V and 4V engines. My Big Red Book was printed 07/2002, so it may be different for the '04 and the OWC. Hope this helps, carry on gents.

if mine ever goes up again i know what to get. when i bought mine used back in dec 05 with 40K miles on it i had the dealership replace it because it was giving me a 11.7v charge at idle.

I bumped my idle in drive up to 750 (highest my tune would allow). I used the VM in my avic against stock. Stock lies. So, to decide who's right, I used a hand-held fluke at the battery and at the alternator post. Both say stock lies. I average 1-1.2 V higher than stock says. Moral? Use the VM in my avic and have space for some other meter!!!! My lights did dim a little at idle in drive before. No more dat!
