Has anybody used Motorcrafts Racing FL820 Oil Filter with their MM? Part number CM-6731-FL820. Just wondering. Comments?

jabird, I haven't actually used one, but racing versions of regular production filters are generally of no use on all but the most highly modified motors. Racing filters are set up to have higher flow rates, at the expense of filtering ability, along with a higher burst strength can, something you would need a really mondo oil pump and very thick oil to appreciate. Another factor is that the FRPP version does not have a silicone ADBV, as filters on racing engines are generally changed WAY more often than on street motors. Coupled with the $14 price tag, I see no advantage over using the regular Motorcraft FL820S for $3.38 from Wally World.
