Hmmm, I dunno.

It may seem like the right decision, but if the relationship ever goes sour & she hits the road ......

1) You really would have nothing left to show for your inve$tment.

2) Someone else will now get to enjoy said purchase, thanks to you.

I think I'd feel short changed after that ..... unless we had some sort of written contract with specfic conditions, that protected my right to still enjoy said purchase now & then, regardless of whether or not we were technically an "item" anymore.

Y'know .....

Similar to situations in which people that have children get divorced & the courts work out weekend custody &/or visitation rights & such.
