if i replace my oil pres and volt meter with autometer gauges and hook them up to the factory wires already on these dummy guages i will get current accurate readings? or would i need to wire the new gauges from scratch?
and if anyone has a part number and price for a tranny pan with a drain plug it would be nice....
thank you

You can use the factory wires for the oil & volt gauges. You do need to change the factory oil pressure sending unit with the one that comes with the new gauge. Dennis Reinhart has an Art Carr deep oil pan with a drain plug, I think there are some other vendors on the site that have them also. You can PM me if you need more help.

Factory installed deep sump pan with drain plug. Used on 1998-2004 E-250 econoline vans delivered to the U-Haul corporation
$73.27
As fastblackmerc said, you can re-use all the original wiring, but there's a rub...(isn't there always?)
The factory gauges are all connectorised, where the aftermarket ones use a nut-and-stud configuration. You'll have to customise the wiring-to-gauge interfaces and the wiring-to-sender interface. I suggest crimping and soldering ring terminals for reliability and protection against accidental shorts. It's not a big deal, but it isn't plug and play, either.

RF, does that pan increase the fluid capacity?

No. The pan itself is exactly the same as the one that came with the car.
*EDIT* I see why you asked...I cut and pasted that description and didn't realise it said "deep sump"...
