Went to Capitol Raceway in MD for their 1st test and tune day. Also saw 2ndMDRebel with his Crown Vic with the DOHC s/c engine swap which was running good besides everyone having traction problems. Best run I had out of 3 runs was a 14.85 @ 93.73 with a r/t of 1.069 and 60' 2.160. I didn't think it would do that well for only having a k&n drop in air filter and h-pipe back exhaust delete with side exhaust exits. I can't wait to get my tax refund and settlements from a few trials at court against the drunk driver that hit me in my old car. I know I want the KOOKS headers plus a custom exhaust and Xcal2 but what should be my next mods without going force induction? I think I'll wait till my warranty is up before I turbo or s/c it.

Congrats on your runs. Your 60' time of 2.16 would seem to put you into the 14.3-14.4 bracket with the right conditions.

Thanks! Wish their were some more MM's there but I was the only one which was cool cause I had my window cracked while I was parked in the staging lanes and could hear ppl saying "that's a marauder, those are bad azz" which put a little smile on my face and I cant forget 2ndMDRebel with his CV which is a Marauder at heart lol.

Very nice !
That's a great run. With a little practice, I'm sure you'll cut a tenth or two more. Oh yes, those Marauder's are badazz!:D

It was great to see another Panther out there today! Glad to have met you even though it was only for a brief time.
The only thing I can say is if your car is supercharged then running without drag radials is near impossible, ran w/street tires at 35psi. I ran horrible today, was expecting mid-low 13s but ran consistent 13.8s trapping at 105-106mph with 60' times ranging from 2.2-2.6 seconds. The car fishtailed and just felt loose through first and seemed like into second gear, felt like forever before it would hook up. It just takes more finesse than I have at the moment to make a decent run, plain and simple. I hate to think all this cash was spent to only go about a second faster than my CV was last season with its stock 2valve, some 3.73s, and a few bolt-ons, 14.79 @ 92mph w/2.2 60'. That would make me quite ill.
The only good thing from today was they booted me because I kept running w/out a helmet. The girl in the booth was ok with it at first but after the 4th run she said it was time to go.
Anyone have suggestions for a rim/drag tire combo thats plug-n-play?

Yeah likewise, a couple of my friends thought I had a driver driving my car when you pulled up to do a burn out  , I was like no thats a CV with a marauder s/c engine. I saw quite a few ppl that wernt running but I guess they didnt know we had side airbags which ironicly I didnt know the marauder's had them until I was putting some leather condtioning on my seats the other day  . I'll probably be out every Sunday for the rest of the month. Send me a PM and let me know which ones youll be going to so we can chit chat a little more.

Well when i had mine done i was hittin low 13' then i added the stall t/c and dropped to 12.1 and did this with the factory tires (big smoke out)@ cecil county drag.:D .so just make sure you heat them bad boys up really good and this should help..
oh plus maybe a few more times down the 1320 will help too.

Cool! Capitol is open already!
Now that 75-80 Dragway is closed for good, Capitol will be my 'default' drag strip. Lots of ricers run at Capitol....:D
I'll be there next weekend if the weather is decent. It's been a long winter and my Marauder has only been out a few times in the last 5 months....:(

So who is going to be at Capitol March 12th? Im shooting to be there about 10:45a, gates open at 11:30a and test & tune runs 12p to 5pm with staging lanes closing at 4:30p. Make sure you bring a helmet if your running faster than a 14 so you dont get the boot like 2ndMDRebal lol. Come on guys lets show a strong Marauder presences! As in the words of the 16-time heavyweight champion Ric Flair WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!:burnout: :banana2:

MIR opened last weekend also. I usually go there as I'm in Waldorf.
I've gotten a 14.24 with 1.99 60's n/a from my Crown Vic. 12.9s on Nitrous.

You know we have to line up together, but I feel that I have a disadvantage in a heads up battle. You give me 2 tenths and I will give you odds on the dollar. What do you think ? :banana2: :argue:
