I have a CAI w/o the air filter. A friend of mine gave me his (BBK) that was used on his Mustang. The filter is 6" at the base and 4.5" at the capped end and the length is about 5". Would this shorter filter have an effect on the MAF and PCM readings? Or would it be OK to use? Or should I just get a S&B 4"X9" filter? :help:
This basically the filter:

No affect on MAF/PCM....
I run a 10" S&B on the Marauder...larger surface area is a plus...and S&B is the BEST filter made in my opinion.....

larger surface area slows velocity per sq inch of filter for better filtration and longer time between cleanings.

So basically with the smaller filter I'll just have to clean it more often. I'll use it for now I guess.
