I was driving to Boca today and all the sudden I noticed that my power steering was stiff. Well then I noticed my speedo wasnt working, but everything else was. The car ran fine and didnt seem to have any problems other than what I stated. Got to Shakes' house and we determined after looking at the service CD-ROM that it was a module that controls the power steering assist and speedometer and air suspesion. Any one ever heard of this happening?

I ran an OASIS report for Marauderman for one that had the power steering go stiff. I was not sure whether or not the speedo stopped working.
BTW, I'll be in late tomorrow when you bring it in.

IT's the fuse. It happened to me before.
For me , the cause was: The snorkel for the air suspension compressor got jammed with ice which provoqued the death of the compressor. New compressor, new fuse, relocated snorkel for canadian winter = no more trouble.
Good luck

Marc,
There are two fuses for the RAS. Fuse #16 (15amp) in the under dash fuse panel and fuse #114 (30amp) in the power distribution box right behind the battery. If the fuse (underhood) pops immediately, try turning the suspension off to narrow down the possibilities. HTH!

Damnit! I didnt read these posts til AFTER the dealer, who charged me 80.00 for a fuse. They didnt cover my warranty which was BULL*****! I despise the stupid dealerships for this reason. If it wasnt for my warranty, Id have gone somewhere else. They should appreciate that. Thanx, guys for your help.
