Hey guys what's up? I'm looking to boost my car soon and I am keeping a very open mind to all the tuners out there. What I really like about MM.net is you don't have to weed through all the ***** talking about this kit or that company, blah, blah, blah... I am really familiar with roots blowers and have owned one in the past so I know how great they are. I just want to hear some opinions on this:

Would it be cool to install a base Trilogy kit on my ride with no other mods? Does anyone here highly reccomend any other mods/reinforcements?

Now I'm sure some people will pipe in and recommend gears and a TC, and that's cool. I am considering them, but I want to know what other mods you think are a must with the Trilogy kit. Thanks a lot!

Amen to that, bro.

There are some members here who have nothing else but the kit.

Widened wheels and some nitto tires:burnout:

No supporting mods of any kind are needed. I have a Trilogy and a K&N. No other performance mods at all. Period. I get consistent 13.0, 13.1, etc. at the track, and most recently, a 12.9 on OEM tires. Factory looks, and NO change in driveability.

Yeah, I saw your posts in other threads. 12.9 on OEMs is great! :burnout:

As stated earlier, you may want to get the wheels widened and get some drag radials. Other than that nothing else is needed. The Trilogy kit provides enough bottom end torque to move it. If I hadn't already had 410's I probably wouldn't have gotten them. Good luck on your decision.

Lets get real here, folks with just a T-Kit are rare....very rare. If BillyG was here he would tell you that you need wider rims and drag radials.....and if you go to the track without them....you are just plain wasting your time!!!....where is Billy when you need him???, he would set you all straight.:D

Well, I mean I probably won't get just the blower kit... I mean you can't have a blown V8 without a mean sounding exhaust. :burnout:

If I had money, I'd tell you what I'd do...
I'd get me Trilogy so my car might see the 12's too!

Actually, I think 12's are easy... it's that "NO change in driveability" that's very impressive.

To me, no change in driveability means I'll keep driving it all the time. Driving is the fun part... thanks for your comments... I'm more determined than ever!

Back to the original thread... you can always do more, but everything I've read says just the kit is more than enough.

I've had the Trilogy for just about 18 months now. No other performance mods done, wanted, or needed for me. Your actual expirience may vary. :) If a high 12s/low13s car is fast enough for you, then I've got some very bad news...

Make that a 4200 lb+ high 12s/low13s car :D Awesome baby.
I, too, have been bitten by the SC bug..I would like to know what kind of dyno #'s you guys are seeing with no other mods than perhaps exhaust when coupled with the Trilogy setup...

Well, using a "Horsepower Calculator", My car is putting about 400 to the wheels. However, my car is no longer running a "stock" Trilogy tune. Please PM me for further details, as I cannot discuss it here. Yet.

I wish I could be of further help, but my car has never been on a dyno. Not even once. While others are babbling about their latest tune tweak, I'm at the dragstrip with a perfectly calibrated car...:D

My numbers are in my signature. That is with only a K&N aircharger added.

Modest, very quiet exhaust mods and PHP Air box. The rest of the car is bonesotck (except for a little bling) Base T-Kit dynoed at a temp of 100 drees /89% hum. What it can do at the track (71*/80% hum) below picture.

That was great! You had me worried until I scrolled down! Truthfully, except for bench racing, I couldn't care less if it ran high 12s or low 13s... my butt-o-meter isn't that accurate. Now... feeling 4200lbs lunge... that's what I'm interested in. Widened wheels would be fun, but I've found very few opportunites to practice hole-shots on my way to the office every morning... and don't think I haven't been looking!
