I was looking over at upr products.com and noticed they have a lot of billet stuff for mustangs and other fords. What all would work off a mustang that would fit our cars? I think the oil fill cap would work. I wonder if the window switches would work? Also if everyone would email them asking about making products for our cars worth a try?

I e-mailed UPR wanting to buy a complete underhood kit and asked if it would fit my Marauder. No response in over a week....guess they don't need any of my money.

Did you try calling?

No, I used the contact information they provided, I usually give a company only one chance to take my money.

I also tried emailing them but it always sent my email back to me for some reason. I might try calling them tommorrow.

Certain billit parts offered by UPR and Steeda for the Mustang do work on the Marauder. I no longer own this car (another MM.NET member does), but here are UPR and Steeda parts that I bought it:

UPR polished aluminum door pins and bezels (they can be ordered machined instead of polished) Stock door pin shown on the right.

Polished aluminum remote fob cover:

Machined pull type door pins (I gave this set to TAF)

Air Conditioning valve cap covers in chrome; Billit coolant resevoir cap cover; chrome EGR valve cap cover. Also note on the coil covers the chrome bolt head caps, which also fit on the bolt heads used for the alternator. I gave a set of these to Smokie for his coil covers:

Brake Fluid resevoir cap cover, oil filler cap cover, power steering resevoir cap cover:

This angle you can see the egr valve cap cover next to the yellow tranny fluid dip stick.

That's bizaar. Are you afraid to talk to people? Would you rather buy something you don't want because they read your email? I just find it strange that people don't want to pick the phone up anymore and call someone. They prefer email. To make things more confusing, everytime I go outside, I see people on their cell phones.

Not afraid. the company provides an e-mail address for questions. If they don't want to recieve e-mail; don't provide an address.

On the phone you don't know who is giving you information that may be worthless and you can't prove what they told you if it turns out to be wrong.

E-mail response from an internet vendor can be used as proof in case there is a dispute.

By the way, I don't like talking on the phone. Do you?

I talk on the phone when I need to. It could have been something as simple as they never received your email. If you don't trust what they say, you shouldn't buy anything from them.

Wait Joe, you missed the point. In a case of fraud or faulty equipment, the email can be used in court whereas verbal is just that. He said, she said.

I'm glad you understand my reason for wanting an answer thru e-mail, I was prepared to buy a complete under hood set (6 pieces) "made for a Mustang" if I recieved confirmation in writing from the vendor that the product would fit my S/C Marauder.

A reply over the phone would have left me, in my opinion with zero recourse, if after I paid for the product all six pieces did not fit my car. I sent 2 separate inquiries thru e-mail on consecutive days.

It is no big deal they did not reply, when I spend my money it is done on my terms, to my satisfaction. I don't need their product and they don't need my money.

All's well that ends well....:)

I understood and it makes complete sense. But, email can be easily forged. So, the company can go to court and state that the email is false and its back to he said she said. You will need something more substantial like an invoice stating what the part is for and any warranty. Anyway, I got my answer. Thanks guys.

UPR sells some nice stuff. After the move and I may be ordering some subtle bling also.

Provided none of the site vendors are selling this stuff by then.

I agree Smokie.
Companies get one chance with me, if they don't respond, I move on.

I have this Upr remote cover and it looks good but blocks the signal to your car significantly making it a PITA....try this site for a better option on remote covers.

Warpath,

Here is the other side of the coin, how about when you are somewhere IN PERSON and the sales person insists on handling calls while you stand there waiting. When I was a young pup in retail, customers at the counter were dealt with before people calling on the phone.

You should try COLEX (vendor on the MM.net) for the billet stuff. Top quality !
I bought also from UPR, but for my MGM...
