The factory trans pan is reusable as stated above, and it is the best quality as well. A win-win....

Thank you very much. I will look into getting it done myself. Seems cheap enough and can only help right?
By the way, doesn't the tranny fluid expand when hot? Therefor, how can one make sure not to over fill?

By the way, doesn't the tranny fluid expand when hot? Therefor, how can one make sure not to over fill? This is why you check tranny fluid when hot and with engine running. It's to make sure you do not overfill. However, it can happen anyway, and all that will happen, is the excess will flow from a vent topside of the tranny.
BTW, the gasket is reusable, should say so on the tranny pan.

I was wondering the same thing. Who caries an aftermarket tranny pan for the MM??Both Summit and Jeg's carry aftermarket drain pans, but they are all a lot more expensive than the Ford one. Did you mean an aftermarket drain plug? B&M makes a nice one for about $10...I'm sure there are others as wwll.

I can't find the drain plug on B&M's web site.
Do you have a part number or more info?
