You'll be very happy with the badge, Charlie. Mine went on in 15 minutes (only because I had used black silicone to secure the other custom one I made so I had to scrape that off) and it is awesome. It is so shiny that even when I backed away to take a pic without reflection, I still got reflection in the pic.

Yeah yeah, I know, clean that ***** outta my grille already. And yes, I deliberately ordered one with just the brand name, because I wanted to stay true to the badging - maybe someone will think it's stock. :P

Hahaha! Nah, nobody owes me a dime. I get personal satisfaction when you all like my idea - which, BTW, is Daniels with the ebay auction for the "Marauder / Supercharged" emblem. I just added my own spin.

I really can not take credit for much, I just do what comes to mind.

The taillights? Done before by Mercury on the concept Marauder. Though I made the whole light work.

The lower grill? Done before on the 03/04 Cobras. I brought it to the Marauder. In fact, I got a PM from a member suggesting I market the idea and sell it. Perhaps I am a fool for not capitalizing on the idea, but thats not what I am about.

Grill emblem? As stated above, done before.

I dont know whats next, but chances are, I plagiarized it from something else.

Thanks for the props. :coolman:

No flash=no light and it's cloudy here the past few days. It was either flash or a dark area. I didn't feel like setting up worklights, etc. just for the pic. :)

Very nice! I've looked at their site and they show the generic badges, but no link to order them. Are these all special order?

I ordered mine from Daniel awhile back. I have it mounted and getting alot of compliments on how great it looks. I went with Daniels design for the closest to the factory look. Also very easy to mount.

That is sweet Charlie. Of course, now I want one, which requires me to come up with a kick-a$$ name for my car, and then some more money..... you know, if you guys would just stop posting pics of stuff like this, I might actually be able to have something saved up..... geeze!

I read the lower grill mod post. I'd been doing that to ricers for years, but never thought to put it on a 'rauder. I've done 4 down here in S. Fla!!!!!

I got MarauderMarc on tape saying I should market it, too!!

What did you pay for the badge? You get the back, too?

I'll get it mounted and post the pics.

anyone had any trouble with the black paint chipping off around the Godshead, most noticably by the top of it's hat? If so what kind of touch
up paint are you using to cover up the chrome showing? Thanks for looking

My black paint lasted less than two weeks!

Mine is chipped, but I wonder if any paint is going to hold up to rocks, etc. on the highway hitting it at 75MPH. Gonna have to find some good touch-up paint that's durable.

If your going to drive 'em on the highway then your going to get chips etc....

Of course there is always a trailer:help:

I talked to him last week. He said he still does not have the curvature for the deck lid worked out the way he wants it. Gotta say he is a perfectionist!

I have repainted mine. Removed the badge from the grill. Repainted it with a good quality black spray paint. Used a rag dampened with acitone to wipe off the paint from the high areas, leaving the recessed area looking new.:D

This is what I was going to do, except I thought of adding a few coats of clearcoat afterwards. Couldn't hurt.

Are you thinking of clearcoat on the whole thing or just the black part? Wonder if it would help prevent rock marks in the clear part?

duhtroll

I meant the whole thing but I'd have to ask around about what to use. (i.e. what's best)

So does Daniel yet Still have the REar ready to be sold?
I'm Ready!
I like their emblems.

Once I bought a very large Indian Head Nickel from one of those television adds. This would make a nice buckle. I saw another marauder emblem once. Looked WAY too big. No Marauder name or Mercury name. Just MHO = I didnt like it!

No need for work lights.

Digital cmos and film is more sensitive than you know.

Setting your camera's white balance to cloudy, and bumping the ISO up to 400+ up to 1600 in conjunction with a monopod or tripod, will allow you to shoot well into dusk without flash.

If I'm gonna go get a tripod, I might as well get a light! :P

Actually, I did buy a digicam that allows me to change the settings like this because I have done photography work in the past.

I just don't use it when my hands are dirty.

If I was submitting it for publication -- sure. However . . .
