There is a red wire with a yellow stripe that goes to both the oil pressure gauge and voltmeter. I would tap off of there. A radar detector does not draw much current so you will be ok. I would make sure and use the in line fuse that comes in the radar detectors hot wire. My standard warning applies here: Remember you are modding a car under warranty. Use care and caution and know what you are doing. Screw up a wiring harness and you will be screwed. They will reject any electrical warranty claim they can and pin it back on you.

I had my audio dealer hard wire the radar detector in, cost me 20 bucks and I love it... not to mention that it's now mounted up nice ahd high, out of the line of sight of any LEO that happen to be behind me.
