Very nice pics .... Mrs. Merc is getting better and better with those action shots !! Very impressive 13.298, Joe !! :2thumbs: Your 13.524 is very respectable as well. Understand that a Corvette Z06 grenaded his rear end while ya'll were there. Ouch !!! :(

Just got home from the track....
Weather was warm and overcast. @70 degrees
We had a lot of Marauders (and Tom's S/C DOHC Crown Vic) today.
I got to meet some fellow CAMmers; ctrlraven, Merc6 and 2ndMdRebel.
Merc, Breadfan and Big House were in attendance as well. Breadfan was 'packing' his new Trilogy blower...
Merc and I got to run each other and we both set new personal bests on our first run! (See photo of ET/MPH):banana2:
BTW:
Black w/silver stripes FORD GT ran a 12.54 (terrible launch). but HOT blonde wife jumps in passenger seat on return road!
New Black Z06 Vette hopped the rear wheels on launch and grenaded the rear end or half shafts :dunno: right in front of the stands! OUCH!!!
Poor guy had to be towed down the track by an ATV, then right past all the stands.:(
My last run of the day was my best: 13.289 @ 102.48.
I'll try to scan the timeslips later tonight.

Merc,
Lets not forget our Supercharged brothers, Bread clocked a 13.2 and 2ndMDRebel diled in on street tires, a 13.1. Much respect. I managed a couple of 14.6s and a 14.75 on a hot lap. Iwas a great day and a grat way to start the season.
Big House
BTW I saw that vette...nice as heck...the guy was out running it last week. Said he ran 11.9 @ 125. Beauty car though. Shame he klled it. And the 1320 is no fearking place for a GT...

Sorry, I think everyone got better times today. I was hoping Breadfan and 2ndMDRebel would post. I had to leave early and could not see all the excitement. We will have to do it again at Mason Dixon in 4 weeks.

Yep, was a good turnout and a great time! One thing I love about these cars is everyone has something just a little bit different than the others so its always interesting to see whats under the hoods. My wife and daughter (in pics #3 and #5 right side of stands in the middle wearing pink) were there to cheer us on... one thing I have to add, there's nothing like rolling down the return lane and seeing my little girl giving me the big thumbs up after each run. Maybe we'll get Vicky to take the DTR out on the track one day, she says its too pretty to race... ugh. The Marauders got some recognition from the tower announcer too, probably the most they've seen out there at one time.
I ran a 14.1 hot-lapped with a 13.7, then finally started getting a better feel of it and ran a 13.15 @ 109.08 followed by a 13.09 @ 108.66. Don't know how much of a difference it makes but I disabled the air suspension and instead of launching with some load I just went from idle speed, also was holding it in 2nd gear manually to get a little higher rpm before the shifts.
It was a good time overall, getting to meet the great people behind the screennames is the best, running the cars was just a little icing on the cake.

I had a great time as well! I did run a 13.4 and then 13.2 on OEM rubber, and threw the towel in after that. I only came to do a few runs, it's my first time out with the Trilogy.
I'm on stock tires too. I didn't do alot of things - I left the spare in, left my Infinity sub in, had two gallon jugs of Mobil1 back in the trunk, left the tires at stock PSI, etc.
The car definitely has more in it, and with some minor tweaks I'm sure it's into the 12's. The 2nd run I launched a bit different and shaved .2 seconds, nothing else different, so I know it's got it. :)
Here's a vid of my first run: http://www.neuralimpulse.com/mm12divx.avi
Since I've yet to get burnout pics with the Trilogy, I put on a very small show for my second run. ;)

Meanwhile watch the streets in Harford County, you may get a glimps of a MM in your area. There are about 5 I can think of on this site around town.

From L-to-R: Joe Walsh, Merc, Merc6 and Myself. I felt so lonely with my Silver MM but it was funny when people asked if I had mine painted  .
Best run I had was against Breadfan, 14.62 @ 95.15mph with a sloppy 1.17 r/t time. Remember everyone March 19th and March 26th Captiol will be running test and tune. March 19th they will be running the Pontiac Outlaw racing too.

I took another step towards that goal today.
I watched 'Merc' launch really hard with his BFG Drag Radials and decided I had to have a set.
A friend of mine at the track had a set of 16 x 7 CV Police Rims* in his trunk and I bought them for $50.00/set.
Now I'm checking out Drag Radials to mount on the rims.....26" tall P255/50R16s.
I'll get much better traction AND a higher effective gear ratio...from 3:55 -> @ 3:90
(*valve stems are on the inside of the rim)
With much better traction, the ability to really load the converter, and a steeper gear ratio I should be knocking on the 12's door.:D

Every Friday night?
I'm there! We meet at the Giant parking lot at the corner of Wilkens Ave. and Maiden Choice Lane. Yeah if you want to come out please do. We have about 20 cars bearing our sticker right now and probably about 30 cars total in the club. We just had our 1st big meet this past Friday with going over all the rules and getting everyone to sign a membership policy. I am the Event Coordinator so I will be setting up all the car shows, auto-x, drag, meets, and talking with sponsers. I forgot to tell you I went down to Glen Burnie last night and drove into the parking lot at Ames but from the back side and 6-7 cars/trucks saw me and took off. I was just creeping along and then chased after 2 STi's and followed them for about 3 miles going exactly 45mph lol. I got a big kick out of it and I know I pissed the STi's off big time :D

I guess my speedo is off now :( The needle was at 110 when I was in front of the sign. Yesterday kinda motivated me to go get the lidio tune dynoed sometime today. I wanna tweak the a/f and timming if needed.

I graduated from MSJC over on Frederick Ave. It's not a Marauder meet, its a meet for a car club that I joined 5 months ago. It's for all makes and models of vehicles. Currently I am the only Marauder in the club but hopefully that will change. So far the club has 3 cavalier's, 4 mustang's , 5 camaro's, 1 svt lightning, 1 f-350 (mine lol), 2 eclipse's, 2 rsx's, 2 miata's, 2 paseo's, 1 tercel (lol), 2 cobalt s/c's, 3 neon's, 2 G35's and some other vehicles I can't remember right now. I mean you more than welcome to come to one, after the meets we usually go someplace to eat and hung out or go down to Glen Burnie and park by the Ames far away from the retards but close enough to watch them to get a good laugh  .

There are many issues that could contribute to traction loss.
If the humidity was high just before a rain storm
Oil on the track
Excessive rubber in the staging area
High tire pressure
One wheel peal
Cold tires
Your wife or girlfriend ringing the cell phone while staging
Oh, sorry I have to leave. I hope you got home ok.

If I can get into the 12's on stock tires and stock Trilogy/tune I'll be a happy camper. ;)

My times are as followed i know i could have done better.... The more you run the better you get cause you become one with your car even more and you learn the ends and outs of the game. I've logged in a little over 200 races on my mustang and thats not including practicing runs and stuff. But if someone bet me I couldnt call my own time and get it they would lose :D . Especially with running down at MIR I know just about where my tires will stop spinning and grab and know the markers on the walls and how fast I should be going when I pass it. If it's good weather again this weekend I will be going to Capitol with the MM because I want to practice practice practice my launches and get less than a .7 r/t time and less than 1 1.9 60'. I don't care what I trap cause I know if I hook up better than I did when I ran Breadfan I know I will have my MM in the 14.5 zone and I think thats pretty good for only 2 mods I've done and leaving everything in the car, 3/4-full tank of gas and comparing 1/4 times to what a stock MM runs a 15.4-15.6. I want to see a trilogy mm vs trilogy mm sometime soon :burnout: .

I was surprised by my second run 60' time, I had thought I felt a bit more slip, I still walked it out, but did go harder than my first run. I'm curious how much the track had left, after my second run it sounds like it went down hill for everyone else.
By the way, I was having a discussion with a coworker today, they heard I went drag racing and were going on and on about how it's "dangerous" and what not.
My only comment is that I felt so much safer on that strip of pavement than I did the rest of the day on the road.
On the ride home I was on 495 coming up on the Wilson Bridge into VA. I had my arm out the window, just cruisin', checkin' the mirrors and knowing who's around me. The car to my left came up beside me, and I glanced over.
I glanced over just in time to see some crazy moron on a motorcycle whiteline us at over 100mph. He came within INCHES to my arm and mirror. Even though I had checked my mirrors I never saw him. Scared the CRAP outta me. And no - whitelining is not legal in VA.
The next few miles I saw 3 weavers, one of which nearly clipped my rear bumper to whip between me and the car to my left.
So, yeah, I feel much safer racing than I do getting to the track. Glad to hear everyone made it home ok!
BTW, 4 miles later I saw that motorcycle pulled over by the local smokies.

Haven't scanned mine but 2nd run was 82% humidity
Oddly enough, mine also says 3:20PM. I think I had left by then... yeah their computer was an hour ahead.

It's not a Marauder meet, its a meet for a car club that I joined 5 months ago. It's for all makes and models of vehicles.
Nevermind .... I thought that you were trying to gin up a Marauder showing for your club.

Well, on that note, I'm on stock 3.4 pulley, and totally stock exhaust. I know Charlie has a few more goodies like the Kooks and I believe a smaller pulley but I could be wrong there. ;) Oh, and the Nitto's!
If I can get into the 12's on stock tires and stock Trilogy/tune I'll be a happy camper. ;)
Well, wait, I'm already a happy camper.
It can be done, it's not easy.:)

You are correct Breadfan. For a complete list of mods, click my sig. It is possible to get to 12.9s on a stock Marauder with a stock Trilogy. So keep at it.

Nevermind .... I thought that you were trying to gin up a Marauder showing for your club. Trust me I would love for a bunch of Marauder's to show up. The first time I went to the meet everyone couldn't take their eyes off my car and I saw two kids walk over to their cars and get in it like I was going to break up the party   . I will let you know when we are doing an event closer to you. I think it would be pretty cool for us to get together on a Friday or Saturday night and drive around Glen Burnie and just watch everyone's mouths drop when several bad azz Marauder's roll by or pull up in a parking lot. Plus theirs nothing better than laughing at the idiots and the things they do. I go down, park with some friends and I'm amazed by the newist stupid things these kids can do  .

BTW here was my slip from my 2nd and last run of the day...
R/T: .685
60' : 1.911
1/4: 13.264
MPH: 103.75
The 60' isn't bad for OEM tires.
The 60' is excellent for OEM tires, you tamed the Trilogy low end torque. I don't know if you let up before the end of the run, I'm not aware of any 12 second car with a trap speed below 104 mph. The difference between your car and mine is you have gears I have exhaust. compare slips and I believe it shows what each mod. improves best.
My 60' sucks, your trap speed needs to come up to get to 12's. Good luck.:)

Todays run went well. Empty tank of gas and humidity helped me big time! Wonder what I could run with 4:10's...

I assume that you were car#1 with the 14.486 ET and 95.15 mph trap speed. ;) I thought that the concensus was that it was not a good idea to run with less than 1/4 full tank.

Yeah, and the other guy was in a COMA!
Hold the brake and load the torque converter.....then:
Nail it as soon as the last yellow light comes on and your gone!
I almost try to redlight to get down to that magical .500 light!
Best I ever cut was a .508 light, and I was SURE that I had redlighted on that run!
