Strange Coating

I have recently noticed a wierd color right above my exhaust tips after driving for only about 1/2 hour.
The mechanic in me says either anti-freeze or oil but the car runs so well, no oil loss and no anti-freeze loss that I can see.
I just waxed the rear bumper and took it for a 1/2 ride today to have lunch with wifey and when I got to her office I noticed it.
Has anyone else experienced this??????

Look carefully right above my exhaust tips on either side.

Condensation. in the exhaust
mixed with some exhaust residue.
From the wash and sitting to much...
Check the levels more frequently and go for a long drive!!

No! I've not noticed this on mine at all. Check oil for water,a white foam consistancy.Is there any kind of residue that you can feel on bumper cover?

Ya know how a gas stove gets this sticky coating everywhere after a while ?
It's the natural by-products of burning an oil based fuel.

It is simply the condensation of unburned fuel on your bumper cover.
If you wipe it down with a soft cloth, it should come off easily.
Windex would take it off also, but you'll need to re-apply
whatever polish you got on that shiny car of yours...

Yep i figured it come right off.windex good idea but will have to reapply wax.

I am starting to think it is condensation in the pipes, the car sits in the garage and I drive it an average of once a week for 1 hour.
My oil looks like it just came out of the oil can clean, and my anti-freeze is clean and hasn't budged. There is absolutely no smoke and not a hint of anti-freeze smell.
I may just have to take it on a nice long cruise.
I just Windexed it off (came right off, no oil stain on rag) and re-waxed back bumper.

I believe it is hot moist exhaust reacting with the wax you have applied....turning it milky??:confused:

Get some PreKleeno or lighter fluid and remove the wax in that area completely....then drive it to see if it returns......:cool:

If it does not return you may want to try another brand of wax in that area.:beer:

It is possible...I never thought of that one.
I will strip it and use another brand this week.

If it continues with a different wax and it really bugs you, have the tips extended about 1/2"-3/4"
