Marauder Accelerations Graphic

FYI. Below is what I consider to be a very interesting graphic of some of the Quartermile runs posted here on the site. I seem to understand things much better when I can see them. This pic is not intended to be all inclusive nor capture any particular conditions. However, I think it shows clearly how the stock, modded and heavily modded MMs fit.

If anyone has any objection to being displayed on this graphic, I will delete them upon request or kill the entire thread if I have offended someone in posting this. Just thought it was neat to visualize. :D

Cool chart though, would be cool if the strips tracked the cars and could provide high detail charts like above!

Sorry Mike ... you, Joe, Cruztaker, and Merc are really close on this chart. All 4 of you are really in the same band. In fact, you and Joe actually fit between Merc and Cruztaker. But the small millisecond difference can't be seen here because of the scale. :rolleyes: Unfortunately, you can't see it because the lines and tick marks are larger than the differences. :D

So, I should've done a third run and shot for that 12.99 then. ;)

I'm volunteering you for more work. How about rather than individuals' results, you average 5-10 cars known to be stock, another 5-10 modded, ditto S/C, and finally S/C + nitro? These four lines would let people know what they can aspire to as they up their performance mods.

I'll have to think about this for awhile. ;) Personally, I don't like averages especially in a case like this where there is really no such thing as an "average" set of mods. At least none that more than 3 people would agree on. In this instance, averages would just obscure the intent. IMHO. I have once heard that the average depth of the Chesapeake Bay is only 5 feet deep --- but I wouldn't want to try to walk across it based on those figures. :rolleyes: Specific cars tell the story much more accurately, I think. :D

Us newbies (recent Marauder purchasers) and wannabees (pre-owners) have unfortunately not yet memorized the mods of the Senior Members.

I do see that you acted on Smokie's suggestions (and added his stats).

Maybe two charts, if you don't want to lose individual results?

Now I'm torn between 3.73/4.10 gears or subs and door speakers!

Now I'm torn between 3.73/4.10 gears or subs and door speakers! subs and door speakers, it will help you enjoy the mm ride even more anywhere you go. if you went with gears it would only be fun when you took off or racing someone :D . i just want to do intake, full exhaust and xcal2 tune then work on a sound system then move back to performance.

Looks like a set of drag radials and an Accufab throttle body are needed to help differentiate myself....heh heh heh....:D
