Marauder hit by stolen taxi!

Well, I was on my way home last nite, after being let out of work early from FOMOCO, (shortage of blocks), stopped at a traffic light, full moon lighting up the highway ahead, completely at peace with the world, and enjoying my new to me Marauder, which has been in the barn all winter, waiting for the salt to go away.All cleaned and polished, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. As I look in the rearview I am horrified to see an intrepid approaching from behind getting smacked from a taxi and then I realize I'm next! Taxi smucks intrepid and intrepid procedes to crunch into the back of my pride and joy! I get out and taxi driver, in a fit of rage, moonlite shining off his olive skin, backs up, jumps the median, narrowly avoids another collision and f#*ks off! up the onramp onto the expressway! Wow, I'm totaly pissed off and feeling violated. I'm mad as hell at all of his kind, and spend the rest of the nite ( 2 1/2 hrs. ) waiting for cops and giving a statement. Then I hear the cab was stolen and the son of a b**ch arrested. I sure hope he gets more than a slap on the wrist! In the meantime I look at my banged up Marauder and weep.

In our area a crazy cab driver tried to rundown a cop, and made a statement that he felt it wasn't a bad thing to do.

Atleast the cop wasn't hurt, I feel bad for your Marauder that wasn't so lucky. :(

Ouch, sorry to hear about that Bruce. We've had a few taxis stolen in Chicago but the nice thing for us is that all our cabs are tracked via GPS so we've literally been on the phone with the Chicago PD telling them where he is now and where he is turning, etc.. Makes the search much shorter :)

Did you get an estimate on the damage yet?

Thanks for your condolences and concern, I appreciate it and feel a lot better now. Insurance will cover damages, and I'll get it fixed next week. This is the coolest car I have ever had!
