Ok we know who's driving the wheels off their Marauders, now let's see who's the low mileage top dog.
I've had my 300A since Jan '03. 6800 miles yet the car has been to Ford's 100th in Dearborn and to St. Thomas twice......I make the miles count.
Let's hear your low miles story.
Best,
Paul :D

Bought 12/03 with 3,400 miles on the odo. Has 10,100 now so that's 6,700 miles in 26.5 months on a daily driver. Well... almost daily. :D
PS. We need two awards. Lowest total miles & lowest miles in the longest period.

...took delivery of my 300A in March '05, with 629 mi. on it. Today I have < 3K mi. on it. I drove it on average about once per week prior to the winter, and have semi-stored it this winter.
The car is my luxury.

Bought mine in December '02....I've got 7752 miles, including a trip out to WDC/MVIII. Lots of this mileage in 1/4 mile increments!:D
Having the engine out for a year really helped keep the mileage to a minimum.:(

Bought it 2 years ago in Detroit, April 13th 2004 with 40 miles on it, and drove it back to Cleveland OH that same night, ended up with 210.
Since then, Ive been to MV2 in Indy, MV3 in Detroit, 2 Woodward Dream Cruises, Buffalo NY, Mt Clemens MI a handfull of times for mods, Dragway 42 numerous times, and Norwalk Raceway more times than I can count...
As of today, 8,997 Miles.
On another note, my wifes Turbo Buick is 19 years old, stock motor never opened, upgraded bolt ons, has 92,000 miles, and runs 11.8's Not too shabby. I'd hope the Marauder can stand the test of time that well.

I guess that I can understand the "investment" rationale. But letting this car sit idle seems to be a waste of potential. I am having so much fun just driving my MM that the idea of saving miles just ain't part of my plan. It is worth far more to me "right now" than any possible future $ would be. It's tough to put a price tag on that everyday Grin that I get from hitting the road. :D

As she sits right now The Silver Ghost hat 24,449 miles. Purchased November 24, 2004 with 7 miles. 1 year and 4 months as a daily driver...Kinda wish I still had my Bronco so I wouldn't put so many miles on the Marauder. But in order to get her I had to sell the Bronco and trade in my White '01 Ford Taurus SES. Been to Pecos Tx (West Texas) twice, Dallas once, Oklahoma city, and Corpus Christy Twice...Have not been out of Texas much, but I hope to change that with the up comming MV IV.:D

JUST purchased my Silver Birch '04 off our site from "OldFashHounds" GREAT machine! Couldn't be happier! Want to buy another one to put away already, so I can ENJOY DRIVING this one!! Had just under 8,400 Miles when I picked her up last Wednesday, now has 9,300 - immediately hit the road with it to Chicago and onto Kansas City, ALL highway miles with a fresh Dealer oil and filter change - this car ROCKS! Only saw one other marauder the entire trip home...a BLK one w/ the Spoiler option...I waved but don't think he saw me. I agree w/ most, these are entirely too much fun to let sit! (I find highway onramps to be MOST fun in this car!! What a BLAST!) can't wait to meet up w/ most of you all at a future meet!

My Advise,
Neighbor has a 03 MM 300B. has 5400 miles on it. Wants $23,000 for it. I was going to buy it, and after researching its value through one of my closest friends who owns a Ford Dealer, found out the Trade In was 14K, he said he would give him 12K, and Private Party was around 16K. He said even with a perfect credit score, you would be lucky to get a loan for 18K for it. He happen to get a 03 300A on his lot about 2 months later which I purchased for 10K with 45K miles on it. My neighbor cant find anyone to buy his. My advise, drive them and enjoy the 35K+ you probably spent on them. Who cares what there worth 30 years from now.

I know lots question us guys who dont have a bunch of miles but I do get out and enjoy mine most every weekend. Its not my daily driver and since it will without doubt be the last body-on-frame car Ill ever buy since they are more or less extinct I want it to last awhile. I worked long and hard to be able to afford a choice of cars to use as my daily driver, suitable for Wal-Mart parking lots ect.....

I have 32k miles and that is low "for the model year". I can't imagine storing a FOUR DOOR and not ever driving it. It's a four door!!!!!!!!!!! That's almost like storing an F-150 w/ 50 miles on it.

I agree with Stranger. As much as we love these cars they're not like owning a 2006 Ford GT that is now worth $300k because you've kept the mileage low. These cars are drivers, and I thoroughly enjoy driving mine every chance I get. Currently at 44k. That being said if someone gets the same satisfaction as looking at it in their garage as driving it I respect that.

Now I know I have hope of buying another low mileage marauder after I drive the heck out of mine for the next 10 years. Mines not a DD, but I do have close to 49,000 on the clock on one and about 130,000 on the other.
Just let them set fellow marauders' If I live long enough I'll be looking for another set of low milers. :drive::burn:
You all make jealous that I drove my Marauders too much! 140,000 original owner and 132,000 used both 04's. Sell me one of those low mileage cars.:D

Mine is a daily driver, bought with 85k two years ago and now at 115k. I enjoy every single mile with it and drive it as much as I can, also in the winter.
However I also love prestine condition low mileage cars, my dream is to find a low mile DBP as a garage queen that I can baby for car shows and nice summer drives. Maybe one day...

Ok, so I've got a question for you all who are good with motors etc...
Wouldn't you have to completely go through a car that has sat immobile for 14 years. Wouldn't this be bad for a car to simply sit and not roll out vs 25 miles a week or so?
Bought mine at 14,000 now 18,000 in 4 rears

Not necessarily. If kept in a good environment it can last. Biggest issues will be the rubber parts drying out and exposed metal parts rusting (cylinder walls, brake rotors, etc.).

That thing is a museum piece, never to be driven again.
who would pay that kind of money for it...
'Unwrap' it...
and then start racking up miles on it?!
BTW: with my constantly disabled engine(s) my Marauder has amassed 17,000 miles.
