Very busy day today.

Installed my brand new stallion 3200 (my own little compromise and I have to be just a little different).

New Densos, oil change, cleaned out throttle body, hosed out engine bay, etc..

Swapped out the snow tires for the KDW2s, and the promptly began to burn through them.

What's a ***** ape run like again?

I'm taking it out to the "avenue" tonight to smoke some poor unsuspecting kids. Can't wait for the track to open now!

PS TMF and the mechanics did the work. I just stood by and smiled. THANKS to John for all his help.

Well, now I actually need to learn how to drive. Just mashing the pedal no longer works . . .

I can get up to about 1/3 pedal before I spin off the line - but it was pretty cool tonight so hopefully better traction when warmer.

There's a *****load of power opened up now, tho'.

Andrew,

Glad I could help. It was a lot of fun out on the University last night too. You went in too early. About 20 minutes later, they all started hanging out at the "Lobby". Jason [Jwheeler] and I went and got my camcorder and we taped some "practice runs"...

"Grey Squirrel to Woodchuck. Come in Woodchuck. OVER"

We got to run a GTO with some kids in it. They made a "fly by" and thought they were cool. Then I showed them the meaning of "Objects in mirror are LOSING"... Must not wanted another piece of PUREVIL....

I'll have to get some of the video up on the forum tonight...

It's going to be a very fun year!

Cheers!

John

Once again, Another Thread that assures me that I need a T/C!

Did you have your car Tuned for the T/C?? Also , how is stop and go driving??

OK, OKAY, on my FIRST LAUNCH EVER with the new TC I got beat by a slow '96 Impala SS. I spun all the way through 2nd and into 3rd, and he only was half a car ahead of me with all that spin. I can live with that. I've seen that guy before and I beat him soundly before the TC. I'll see him again. When I learn how to launch this car is going to be a beast.

Technically that is my first loss ever. (hangs head in shame with ***** eating grin somewhat hidden) I just want Jason to remember all the free research he's-a-gittin'.

The ONLY difference is that it does not creep as much on idle (still does creep though which is a bonus) and it takes more pedal to get going from a stop. That's it. I can still start up like gramma if I want. (I don't want, but I CAN if I have a load of kids or bunnies or something) I'd be glad to let anyone drive it who wants to. Without going to the track to verify the times, I can say the 3200 is perfect. I had the battery disconnected during the install, so the car had to "relearn" my driving style of course -- right about the time I was jumping up and down on her, and hard. Should be perfect.

And I did NOT need tuning at all. I may eventually tune it, but with as well as this car is running right now it might be the best it's ever been - smooth, clean shifts, and craploads of power.

Oh, one more thing - it seems it take longer to get into 4th, which can only be seen as another bonus. One would think the shifts would be identical since it's prgramming, but maybe my romping on it right after the battery was disconnected has "learned it" into upshifting later? I was in 3rd gear a lot at 40-45 down the street, and the 4th shift was delayed a bit from what I remember. Hmm.

Blackened, as I told Jason earlier, you cannot NOT do this mod. It is different to drive, but it reminds me of an old diesel truck from the light - takes some pedal to get going but MAN is there power back there.

Gotta wax the wheels and vaccum the trunk and then use the detailer on the remaining water spots today.

My new license plate:

Would you guys recomend a TC if you plan on going S/C in the future? After reading all the great things about the performance the TC unlockes in these cars I really want to throw one in my ride when the tranny gets a rebuild. I plan on going witha trilogy, would a 2800 or a 3000 stall take away some of the bite of the trilogy???
