I finally got around to taking my wife's body out of the truck. Turns out I can "get a wheel" and bark em' in second gear after all!! For awhile I thought my engine just had to get broken in a little, seemed sluggish

I find a carefully rolled Persian rug is a much better wrap than your typical wall to wall carpeting. The weave is almost a 300 count, no moisture passes through such a tight weave, therefore, ooze and odor is minimal in the critical first 36 hours. After Rigor sets in, you're home free if you keep trunk temps below 20 degrees. Wrapped properly, the Persian will add more stiffness and support, more like carrying a bundle of 2X4s rather than several loose and floppy bags of 14" clinchers. I know Persians are hard to come by in larger dimensions, but the overall value is worth the extra effort in huntin them down. Persian rugs have earned their place in history, the talent in rug weaving has been passed down through the ages, hand to hand. Though Persia is today known as Iraq, the timeless quality of their native rug weaving skills has not diminished. If you got to wrap a body, a Persian is you best bet...IMHO.

Oh no.......I knew this was gonna happen sooner or later. It took awhile, but hanging around this looney bin eventually got to the one sane person left. Our man Sarge has joined the fray. :alone:
Or...........it could just be a slow day in Marauder land......yeah thats probably it. :D

I find that if you grind a full pound of well smoked bacon into 2 pounds of 80% lean burger, add a half of finely chopped onion and 2 well rounded teaspoons of fresh ground BLACK pepper and grill till a nice medium well, place on a toasted sourdough bunn you have the best damn Marauder Buger on the planet!
Add cheese if you like!

I'm okay, Sam, the "body/trunk" thingy just sent me trippin, stimulated some old memories and I took a stroll down that lane.
My first thought was a memory of a "Caddy sleeps six" local headline, to which I added "at no extra charge."
After a few years in Homicide/Sex, you learn that most people homicide minded are not very creative. They are actually so stupid, you feel embarassed to catch them so easy, like a "gimme" pinch, eh? A traffic cop's speeder on radar..."easy movers."
Scott Peterson is our latest breaking major homicide suspect presently occupying our news channels, and I got to tell you, he is one dumb sonofabi**h.
Bodies do not make good anchors, wonder what was on HIS mind when he went planting new flowers in the SF Bay. In this age of Internet awareness, you mean to tell me he had no clue of the organic possibilities of a human body in water? Scott Peterson sounds like my windshield wipers on a dry sunny day..."dumb guy dumb guy dumb guy dumb guy..."
WTF was this guy thinking, has to be a dozen ways to launch your lover without planting her! Obviously, he didn't think ahead, very far, or, very much.
Just more of my dark "crime scene" humor we talked about here a few months ago. Sometimes, only the humor keeps you working. It was a standing joke among us back then, to make up sportscaster like monologues and commentary on the manner/motive of any crime as we stood around that knee deep in s**t . Some of it was the best comedy I ever heard in my entire life.
I also thought it ironic that the Iraq reference seemed to fit better today than when first spoken. With all these "missing" Iraq military executives, I wanted to say "something may have been swept under a rug," but I realize that was thought stretching too.
Naw, I'm fine, Sam, thanks for asking.
May be interesting to see the e-bay search records on Persian rugs, eh?

i always used plastic tarp from Home Depot. Keeps 'em 'fresh' and since it's clear, it makes identification much easier. the last thing you want is to grab the wrong one from the trunk - how embarrassing that would be.
