Ok, where's the "Dummies Guide to Data Logging" for the XCal II? I'm confused as to which program I need on my laptop, what version to use and what firmware etc needs to be on the XCal II for this all to work.

Has anyone done this successfully yet?

Want to put together a cheat-sheet for the rest of us?

Thanks in advance!

John

PS: If i find it first I'll answer my own post.

You need firmware 1.11 to run the onboard datalogging. If you are going to use a laptop, you need Live Link.

You can get everything here.

There have been reports of people having trouble with Live Link 2.3.6 and it not logging for anything more than 30 seconds. SCT is working on a fix for that.

The SCT forums has some helpful tutorials flash/pdf too.
