Price matters. Whats it going to be?

Price depends on embroidery options chosen. In general, the floor mats will be $159.95 for a four(4) piece set with included embroidery on the front mats. Additional embroidery is priced in pairs at $35.00 per pair of logos. We will offer the members free shipping within Conus. For these prices, the members will have total control over their color selections in floor mat color, surging/binding color and embroidery colors. A truely custom ordering experience from CAR Motorsports on a lifetime set of floor mats.

Rich, you guys do great work, give good service on quality products and are customer friendly. We want to take advantage of all your stuff and are excited that the new web site will feature your gear for us. We would also like for you to have a forum here as supporting vendors; members of the family as it were. Keep up the great work. I would love to be in on the custom mat buy. Dennis:)

Just to pile on for a minute, Members also have choices on logo locations. For example, the MARAUDER word or S55 designation could be put vertically along the door jamb, parallel to the door sill plates. This has been done with WS6 Trans Am mats and CTS V mats, much to delight of many purchasers. See pics of the CTS V mats at the following link.

Likewise, when I called to order my emblems Rich picked up right after the second ring and was a delight to chew the fat with  . I am in on the custom mats. $160 really isnt that bad of a price for something that is CUSTOM and tailormade to what we want. Of course I will only be putting the mats in when I go to Marauder meets or car events with my local car club but still everyone has to remember you will pay more for something that is custom but its going to be a better product and it's something you know you will be happy with. :D

This is to Rich or Alan, the $160 covers the color options and 2 embroidered logo/word on the front ones only correct? But does it matter what the logo or word is that goes on those 2 front mats? I was probably going to get the word Marauder going vertically along the door jamb, parallel to the door and thats it.

I have a '65 T-bird and the mats have a White inlay of the bird on each of teh four. I would be interested in the MARAUDER up the side, like OEM, with the God Head logo in the center, much like the T-bird mats I have. Burgandy stitching and edge binding to match my DTR paint. Maybe silver God Head logo????

The rears should sport only the god Head logo and burgandy edge binding, with out the MARADER. Mayby with, I don't know. Would LOVE to see some Photoshoped images of this idea. Hint, Hint....Wink....

Something like this at under 200 beans would be good. Any comments CAR?

By the way. I am very pleased with the run of emblems. Everything went exactly as Car Motorsports planned, and they dilivered on their promise. If we all continue to act in 'good faith' there should be no worries.

I love you guys !

Silver "MARAUDER @" (@ represents GH logo) on door side parallel with sill.

Yes, silver godshead on the dark grey is what I envisioned.

I'd rather they look the same as the stock on the edging, tho' to maintain some tendency to appear stock.

I thought about pricing these here in town at some point - now I don't have to.

Reminder to answer the "poll" question above. This is how we will determine if there is a sufficient number of members to facilitate making the custom embbroidery. Once we have enough members who want the custom embroidered floor mats, we will post an information and order sheet to begin the process. You will also be offered the opportunity to receive samples of the carpet portion of our floor mats; this will be usefull in determining your color choices for both the floor mat carpet and the surging/binding. CAR Motorsports is the most custom floor mat company in the USA, and we will do every effort to provide each and every member a custom floor mat ordering experience. In addition to the floor mats, you will be offered the opportunity to purchase seamlessly integrated custom seat belt shoulder cushions with the Marauder Word in whatever colors you would like. Those color choices will be for both the cushion and for the embroidered Maruader. Keep voting yes and it will happen.

I would be interested in something very much as described earlier by Dragcity. I also have a DTR, so would like dark charcoal mats with dark burgundy edging, and silver MARAUDER on the edge along the door sill (as stock mats) and a nice Gods Head in the center. rear mats should have burgundy edging and Gods Head only.

I was aboutto purchase a "back up" set of stock mats on E-Bay when I saw this thread. So is this a definate go?

Rider90,

I always read your posts very carefully because you are wise beyond your age and, like many others, are a real value to this site. I can understand your frustration about calling three times in one day and having nobody answer. I run two businesses and believe me that things get out of control from time to time. I know that it is no excuse but it happens. I truly respect your decision to spend money only where you feel valued but I honestly believe, after ordering three different items from Car Motorsports on three different occasions, that they do value each and every one of their customers and that it just must have been a crazy day. Again, I only write this because I know that no matter how hard one might try and no matter how good a company is things can get out of hand.

Rider90, please take my post with the best intensions. I only mean to reflect my experience as a business owner and a customer of Car Motorsports.

Shora,
Thanks for the time you spent writing that up - only problem was it didn't come from CAR themselves. In the S-55 emblem thread I posted that I tried calling three times in one day and got voice mail - but they didn't reply to my post, send an E-mail, or send a private message to me. Us Marauder owners are beginning to make up a small fraction of their business at this point and if I was in their spot I would always treat new business a little better than this. Called once, no answer...okay...twice...same.. .three times....same. Internet post? If they didn't check their S-55 Emblem thread that they created, it was ignored. Why not check your own threads for updates? comments? I'm siding with ignored. I guess my business isn't good enough for them at this point, maybe if they come out with something I can't live without I'll call them again.

Bear in mind, these guys are a small cottage industry type business. I have always found them to be very responsive, but the small guys like them need to be cut some slack. I just bought four dashboard gauge clusters from someone who runs a small business. It took me a bit to get his attention, but I stuck with it and his service was excellent after that. Rich and his crew are the same way. Give them some slack. I am sure that you will be glad you did because it will be worth it in the long run.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustations and issues with CAR's service and apologize for the difficulty in reaching us, but likewise, I must take disagree with your take on things and would have preferred to have handled your issues with you directly, rather than make this into a public inquisition and spectacle. Two things I can assure you of are (1) no customer, yourself included, will be ignored by us and (2) there have been no determinations regarding your business not being good enough for us. Perhaps I can clarify a few things to help you better understand what happened and why, although I recognize that this may not change your perception or interpretation of those events.

Regarding phone calls, we have 1 phone line and 1 fax line. Not all calls get through. We make every effort to take every call, but cannot always do this. Our next effort is made to return every call promptly. We do get some messages that are unintelligible. We cannot always make out numbers, particularly when the caller placed the call from a cell phone. Usually, we’ll try to make the call using a combination of possible numbers, but the results are rather unsuccessful. On the email or PM, did you send us one? We usually answer these with regularity and the only issues that come up from time to time are where junk mail clogs our server and causes an email to bounce or not get through. This happened last week in fact. If you are alluding to the fact that we didn’t send an email or PM in follow up to your post, well, if we did not see it, we couldn’t have done so.

We value every customer and are mindful of the money they spend with us and what it represents (a certain amount of time, effort and work on that individual’s part, all of which are valuable). From the sound of things, we haven’t actually spoken or otherwise been in direct contact, so you haven’t been able to get the true CAR service. Rather, what we have is a series of close misses and building frustrations on your side. Hopefully, we’ve addressed your issues and perhaps, alleviated some of your frustrations.

If we can assist you with a product (and hopefully this doesn’t require us to wait until we have something you cannot live without), please PM your phone number to us and we’ll call you. Also, you can email either car@carmotorsports.com (car@carmotorsports.com) or rich@carmotorsports.com (rich@carmotorsports.com) directly. I can assure you that notwithstanding your initial impressions, CAR will deal with and treat you better than any other company. Owners of Corvettes, CTS V’s, XLR’s, STS’s, Escalades, B-body Impalas, Trans Ams, and many other cars consistently tell us that we are unique in our pre and post sale service. We advertise on a number of different boards and start and make a variety of threads and posts. We try to stay on top of each one, but being a really small company that specializes in truly one-off, custom type products (which means it takes time to get each one correct in every detail), I can absolutely state that we miss posts. This is particularly true when threads and posts are ranked by date of posts and the thread to which you posted may have dropped to a second or third page by the time we get back on the board. Not making excuses, but manufacturing, packaging and shipping duties on the recent emblem group purchase was a big undertaking, plus several other group purchases, spring sales, and other projects on other boards for other cars.

Moving forward on this project, we would like to ask those interested in custom embroidered floor mats to send us an email (rich@carmotorsports.com) or a PM with your name and contact info and the specifics of what you want. We do not need any credit cards and there are no order forms to fill out. There appears to be sufficient interest and we plan to move quickly on this.

Moving this thread to the top again.....we need another 10 interested members to make a go of the custom embroidered floor mat group purchase. Be sure to vote on the poll above if you would like a set. The total required is only 36 floor mats. Sooner we get the number, the sooner the mats are delivered. We will post an order form after the number needed is acheived. Estimate about 2-3 weeks for delivery.

If my business isn't important enough to answer the phone, or if they don't have enough staff, it isn't the customer's problem. Oh well :dunno: Good luck with these floor mats...

Rider, there's two guys running the place. They do a hell of a job considering. At least one is an airline pilot. They maintain a web site, sell tons of stuff for other platforms, and return every one of my calls.

They might not pick up right away, but I always get a call back. So far I have them for the UHI kit, the embroidered car fender cover that I asked for and they had made special, two of the S-55 emblems, the rear deck and steering wheel emblems, the filtermag, and I can't remember what else.

I am glad this thread got started, as I posted something several months ago and got almost zero response.

I am definitely in for a set. I have "Marauder" written all over the car as it is, so am open to whatever the majority of folks decide. My problem is that I seem to wear a hole thru the drivers side mat within months, and hope I don't destroy these as well.

BTW, for my Black '03, I was thinking red "Marauder" down the side only. Your feet will turn anything silver or in the middle dirty PDQ. For the rear, I hardly have anyone back there, but was thinking red piping for some color back there as there is none, with the GH logo in the center. The best of both worlds.

Thanks,

Norm

I would be interested if they have both the Gods Head emblem and Marauder embroidered. I know your work would be nice, the Gods Head badges I received from you are beautiful.

I am the one who suggested the godshead logo embroidered in either the "lower" corner or larger and centered. I would prefer the same colors we currently have with "Marauder" embroidered on one side (same as stock) and a Godshead on the other "front" corner, or just the Godshead, but I'm open to ideas.

Basically I am going to wear out the set I have soon, and will need to spend $90 or so on these things anyway, so I might as well spend a few more bucks and do something custom. I have already thought of just buying standard grey Crown Vic mats and embroidering something on all 4. It's the artwork setup that costs the most - after than each one is not expensive.

Let us know what you come up with. Thanks.

You will be able to choose from a variety of Logos, colors and placement location. We do plan to offer the Gods Head, the Marauder Word, the Supercharged Word, the S55 Emblem Logo, the S/C Logo and custom script in both block and script format with a slanted option. We have hundreds of German Madeira Thread Colors to choose from. Again, we are the most custom floor mat company in the USA. As a side note, we just completed a custom embroidery job on a $120,000 show car with all "one off" embroidered logos to match those that are airbrushed on the exterior of the car. Custom is what we do. You can expect the same appearance quality in your floor mats as we did for this vehicle. The digitization, embroidery and products provided by us were done at a cost of $2000. We produce request products each and every week.

Thank you,

Rich

Keep those votes coming, we need a minimum of 36 orders to produce the product. Remember, all of your orders will be custom embroidered to your choices of logo or logos and colors of threads, carpet, and surging. Once we have the numbers, we will be sending out samples of the carpet and surging colors to help you in your selection process. Again, vote if you are signing up for floor mats.

Thanks, Rich

Count me in also..single God's head emblem, centered, w/o Marauder lettering, is my preference. I will send an email to confirm.
Thanks.

Rich/Alan, I'm in for mats, too. Nice job on the God's Head badges.

Thanks so much for taking interest in our special edition cars.

I suspect there would be interest in stock-appearing gauge pillars (not pods) -- either two or three gauges. Perhaps this could be polled when you get a chance and if interested.

Thanks for asking. We are at the point of the final logo digitization. We hope to be producing sample floor mats sometime late next week. Ordering available before the end of June. Wish the numbers were higher on the survey but we are going to serve the customers who are ready now. Again, logo choices will be Godshead, Maruader word, Supercharged, S55.

I could use new front mats but I realize the set may come as four. I would really like the Marauder logo and maybe the Mercury God Head too. I see a lot of messages on this on our club site but does anyone have a picture of what they may actually look like? I have black exterior with light Flint Interior some something with some silver or light flint in it would be nice. Also, the new mats have to be much better quality than originals. My originals got a hole in the foot heel rest about 6 monbths after I got the car.

Update.........

We have completed the floormat logo digitizations to match with the Underhood Insulator and Trunk lid covers for a seamlessly integrated appearance. Sample mini-mats are being manufactured this week that will have each individual logo design displayed on them. The mini-mats will be in our #1038 Charcoal color floor mat. Pictures will be taken and displayed along with an information sheet and an order form. Group purchase similar to that format used in the Gods Head Emblem Group Purchase. Stay tuned the wait is almost over. As your thinking of logo choices, we will be offering a God's Head, Maruader Word, Supercharged Word, and S55. Be back with you soon....

Update.....

Same info as was given in post #57. The embroidered Mini-mats were lost in shipment and are now scheduled to arrive on Thursday, 17 August 2006. Just a couple of days and we should have pictures of the final embroidery offerings for you to look over when placing your orders. We will also be introducing our custom fitted and embroidered spare tire covers for the Marauder. On the near horizon are new Marauder emblem offerings for fender and rear applications. We continue to develop premium quality products for your beautiful Marauders.

Best wishes,

Rich
