I believe you have an Integra hung in your JLT intake blocking proper air flow into the system. ;)

They must be smoking steel wool :rasta: or something. I think I had two Magnaflows with lifetime warranty installed for about half that.

Those mufflers are about 90 each I'm im not mistaken. Then figure about $120-$150 for the labor maybe? I could be wrong. I woulnd't go over $350 to cut out mufflers, and weld in new ones.

I could have had Flowmasters,or my current mufflers Cherry bomb vortex installed for only $200
Yes thats the Mufflers and the labor for only $200. They even installed my Res-delete tips for only $25
It sucks when there aren't many choices, They seem to think they can dictate any price

needless to say I found a local shop to sell me 2 new super 40s installed WITH my new X pipe installed as well for 350. much much better. How does Midas stay in business with prices like that...
That's exactly how they stay in business!! :D Too many people don't know any better or have the time to shop around.

Like King Midas, they touch the mufflers and they turn into gold. So does their shocks and brakes.
Mufflers, shocks & brakes are the "Big Three" of auto repair. The best gravy in the business and only Midas can take that to a level that makes the most jaded of mechanics have an attack of conscience.
it all depends on who you want touching the underside of your car....I tell folks everyday..."You can get it done cheaper than my shop...but you CAN'T get it done better...anywhere..."
BTW...
Well just got the call and my left muffler is cracked on the outside. Right one is showing signs of falling apart too.
that^^^ is unfortunately what you get when you go with aluminized Flowmasters...specifically if you live in harsh environments (Las Vegas heat would certainly qualify)...and is why even though I have 2 vehicles on the lift right now getting Flowmasters...I try to sell the all stainless steel (and best mufflers made IMHO) Magnaflows....

Ya I know what you mean TAF, thats why i called the mustang club and asked them who to go to. Reputation is a big part of business anywhere.
And as for the enrivonment? lol you have no idea, last summer it hit 115+ for 4 days in a row, so theres definetly heat, but I live 30 feet from the ocean at school so theres sea salt in the air as well.

OR where it snows 5-6 months a year with the accompanying copious amounts of rock salt. You should see what my stock system looks like after two winters :puke:

So I didnt get super 40's. I saw the cut outs of the originals ( one baffle) and supers ( 3 baffles) The shop owner told me it would be alot quieter than what i had on now. Speaking of what I had on the left muffler was literally cracked in half by a 1/2 inch gap running 60% around the sides. The right had 4 gid rusted out holes in them. The new 40's sound REALLY good, clearer, same loudness, but more body to the sound. X pipe and 2.25 inch mid pipe goes on friday morning and im dyno testing tomrrow, happy day.
