strange sound

I always have my car serviced at a dealer (same one always). It may be a coincidence, but since my last service I have noticed a strange sound and it is bugging the crap outta me...

If you have your headlight switch in the auto-on mode where they come on when is starts getting dark you can hear a click when they click on (and off depending on light).

Like I said it is probably a coincidence, but ever since i had my oil changed last or shortly their after... i hear that damn clickin sound from the dash coming from around the same area the headlight switch is... it will click every few minutes it seems. I dont think the lights are coming on/off because i can usually tell by the dash lights and that clicking noise happens numerous times in daylight. any ideas?

Hmm, I hear a "light" click when mine come on. One time driving down a forested road during the afternoon I kept hearing the click. It was indeed my lights going on and off with the varying light intensity.

it is the same noise i think... but it happens open road broad daylight

i get this rarely depending on the lighting conditions not sure its the same thing but mine is when i go under bridges on the highway its my interior lights dimming and when i come out of the shadow of the bridge it clicks again when the interior light go back to normal. doesnt really bother me cause i rarely have the radio off and that alway drones it out. might be something to look at though cause i think it makes the noise for interior lights as well as the headlights.

Okay,
Let me preface this with "I don't have a Marauder". However, my instrument cluster and my radio dim when it gets darker out side or I pull into a shaded area without the switch in the auto position. A couple of examples would be, for instance, under trees, thick clouds or a parking garage. I seem to remember reading this in the owner's manual but am not exactly sure. In other words, my dash lamps continue to dim even if the headlamp switch is off. And yes, you can hear the relay click when they do. Pay note and see if that's what's happening!
