...and given the number of times I have cleaned these areas I am shocked at how long it took me to notice. Must be my short attention span cleaning from side to another.

Looks like a few people were sleeping at various inspection points in the plant. WTG Ford for putting quantity over quality.

If my pappy was still alive he could curl your hair with these storys, no oil, no tanny fluid, empty radiators, MAJOR trim parts missing.... I guess replacing missing inspectors on the line isn't overtime friendly... quality job what?

Don't be too disappointed, my car had steering column covers from a column shift car. The guys at the shop said that was the "His / Hers Shifter" option. I'll get one of those covers coming for you Agent. I've seen a G. marquis missing one of those before.

Thanks for the help folks.

The dealer who sold the car will never see this car again.

I drive 90 minutes to Pinnacle LM (formerly Vantage) in Charlotte where frdwrnch is the ... ??? what is it frdwrnch? The service manager. The big dog in charge of the people who work for a living.

I will take it to the FM dealer here in town for very routine things but anything beyond the basics (like something, say, requiring diagnosis) goes south 90 minutes.

I have a 2004 extra-decontented version. A rear seat belt receiver was also factory-omitted. I thought it might have just been stuffed down under the seat cushion but I took that out to do the speaker upgrade and it was just not there ever.

I think the only thing to sooth me at this point is winning that Trilogy supercharger. That might do it. :coolman:
