With the first nice day here in NJ, I turned on the A/C only to find out I cannot get it to blow out the vents, its seems to only blow out of the defrost. Then did the switch to max A/C, vent floor, def etc. nothing changed. Tried Automatic, same result. The only spot I can get air to blow in my car is defrost. Unfortunately, I'm way past warrantee, so was hoping someone could give me some idea as to what's wrong and how to / how much $$$ to fix this problem. Has anyone else had this probelme or know anybody who's had this problem?

Thanks in advance

You have a vacum leak somewhere. All cars have a "failsafe" system for the HVAC. If you lose vacum the system will direct either heat or A/C to the deforster so your windows stay clear.

Look under the hood for a hose or maybe plugged into the wrong spot or maybe listen for a leak under the dash..

Same here. Only it was just my A/C that didn't blow out the vents, everything else worked fine. I had my climate control unit replaced as well, which fixed the problem. It wasn't under warranty, so I think it was around $250 when everything was said and done.

Climate control assy is easy to replace. Check with Ray the Dealer for a good price on one.

Had the same issue after dash re-assembly, post crash. It was simply a vacuum line that needed re-connected. No biggy.
