I believe Steve-O from Jackass also snorted Wasabi. I think it was in the Jackass Movie.

The snorter is a liar! I heard him say his brain hurt. He obviously doesn't have one.

Now he needs some sort of anasthetic -- like medical grade cocaine to numb it. That's what they use for a lot of sinus surgeries.

I dont even want to admit to this but I've done that. I did real wasabi though, I imagine the powder would be worse. The whole side of your face gets numb and you start crying. Not a pleaseant experience.

WhenI was about 13-14 I had sushi for the first time and put about 1 teaspone on my California roll. To this day, including a broken rid,I have never felt that kind of pain.
The only good thing was when it stopped hurting I felt sooooo much better.
It did open up my sinus' though.

Wasabi is that green paste you get with sushi at a Jaoanese restaruant. You can also buy wasabi-flavored snacks.
Sometimes horseradish root is ground fine and dyed green and sold as wasabi - but it ain't the real thing.
The active chemical in wasabi triggers pain receptors in mucus membranes in your mouth or nose. Snorting wasabi powder would feel equivalent to taking a hot ember with a tweezers and stuffing it up your nose. Except that in the end the pain goes away and there is no tissue damage (except for the memory seared into your brain).
