I need to find a car cover for my #1x Marauder. It's in Zack's "monster garage" for some research, and we agree that it's best to throw a cover over it.
I went to e-bay, and found car covers from 18.99 to 199.99...WTF?
I'm not shipping my @1x overseas in bubble wrap, but I don't want to end up screwed by el-cheap-o products. I really don't know what is good, better, or, best, so, any advice on this is greatly appreciated, TYIA.

Sgt. - You know you get what you pay for.
Inexpensive covers may damage the paint and definitely afford less protection.

The Noah Fabric (from CCCC) was like soft paper towel which is not baby butt enough for me. You can't go wrong with either California Car Cover Company or Covercraft. Both are in th $250+ range and I believe both use the same fabrics from Kimberly Clark. They have indoor, indoor/outdoor, and outdoor covers. +1 on you get what you pay for.

Mac your friend Big Dog has a NOAH cover for his Marauder I though he showed it to you guys in Ky.? Anyway custom fit about $400.00 It was on his car sitting in his driveway from January till mid-March with no ill effect on the paint. Car was clean when he removed the cover.

Sarge, I think it depends on the intended use. If its short term, why spend the bucks? Long term, shes your baby, spend the coin. IMHO...

Mac,
If outside, a custom fit cover with draw strings on the bottom is the only way to go. That config will make it so sand does not blow up under the cover (common prob in FL). Sand under cover + wind = f*c%ed up paint.
If in side just covering for dust, cheap is fine.
If inside where folks might walk next to it and brush against, use the thicker, inner lined covers (more$ <=> more protection).
Hope that helps.

I bought Greg's (maraudernkc) Wolf Noah car cover pn: 153-41049 that he never used on his Marauder to keep the cat paws off the paint.
I like it a lot - it's a perfect fit. Maybe look for a group buy soon?

I have a Noah for the Marauder and paid $200, well worth it , I bought a Noah cover for my Superbird back in 1999 and it is still great. Noah is worth every penny...I bought the Mercury Marauder factory black cover at first and all it is good for is keeping off the dust in the garage....

Someone up there ^^^ recommended California Car covers. In my opinion, that are the best. The fit is great and the quality of the materials they use is superb. I own and use regularly four of these covers and really like them a lot.
The California Covers are kind of cool in just how well they fit, right down to the spoiler that you may have on your car (you should let them know if you have one or not).
You won't be disappointed if you get one of their covers..
By the way, with all the group buys that have been set up on this site, I am surprised no one ever did a GB for car covers.

IIRC, wasn't there a cover for the MM available through the dealers? Maybe I'm thinking of the bra that was...

If you're not going to store it outside, but in a garage...
I have the stock car cover from the dealer. Custom fit to the Marauder, black, has a window for the license plate, and has "Marauder" printed on the front of the cover across the hood. It looks pretty cool. $250-$300 I think?
If you're going to store it outside in adverse conditions, rain, and snow...I'd suggest something else. Again...my MM never sees weather like that, and I don't store it outside...so I don't need a bullet proof cover.

I forgot to mention I have a regular indoor cover and it doesn't stop all the dust. I live in a new neighborhood with a lot of contruction and dust. After about a week or two with the cover on and the weather dry, I'll find some light dust under the cover. CCCC has a fabric called Dustop or something like that which is supposed to be better for stopping dust.
