A friend of mine had mentioned to me a few years back that there was something in the engine that could be disconnected to prevent anyone from being able to start the car if it is broken in to. He said that it was something simple and in easy reach but not too obvious. I have a great alarm with kill swich and lojack but I want an added piece of mind knowing that there is another step i could take to prevent it from being stolen...Im not sure if my friend was blowing smoke up my A$$ or if is true..I know the battery could be disconnected but that would defeat the purpose of the alarm...I know that if somebody wants it bad enough, nothing can really stop them. I just want to delay them and have a chance to surprise them with 16 little friends that can run a hell of a lot faster than they can.:D :D
Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You can pull the fuse / circuit breaker for the fuel pump.

From a professional security installer; always protect your hood with a pinswitch. Battery backup is a great idea on an alarm too. Make your alarm VERY LOUD! Multiple sirens and horn honk will make it sound unique. Also, when you park, turn your wheels to full lock so a tow-truck (repo style) can't just bump and run. When you tow the wheels must be straight.

You can pull the fuse / circuit breaker for the fuel pump. I agree, have always been a big fan of pulling the fuel pump fuse in any of my electric pump cars if it wasn't too much of a hassle. On my older stuff just removed the coil wire and took it with me.:D

Just disconnecting the bat terminal has prevented thefts..
The starter solenoid(fender) on old fords has a terminal that can be pulled off..
an extra switch under the dash in the ignition switch wires..
remove coil wire...
Tow trucks have to lift drive wheels, always park with drive wheels
against curb or near wall...
give fuel pump shutofff switch in the trunk a whack...
Big dog in drivers seat...
Now figure out a way to keep chrome valve caps on the car??!!

These days the fuel pump is coneected with the air bags. I wouldn't be pulling and re-inserting that fuse unless absolutely necessary.:nono:
Add a battery backup. The starter kill is sufficient to disable running.
Won't say how I know.....
easy take = drill the bottom of the battery, acid empties, no voltage + cherry picker repo truck. Bye, bye!
