I was supposed to have my MM back today. I get a call from the dealer and it turns out the other paint on the car is bad to. Something about "de-lamanent" Whatever the hell that means. Bad news is I'll be paying on a dead horse while its getting painted again for 2-3 weeks. The good news is its getting a 100% repaint.

I miss that car so bad. I can't stand driving my stang as a daily driver. I'm going to talk with the manager of the dealer today and if they can't get me a loaner its time for rent-a-car. I can't exactly show homes with a 2 seater.

Why did I get this over the 540i 6-speed? :banghead:

because it is American, bigger and doesn't say you are making too much money from your clients. And if you can't buy an M5 why bother. I looked at the 540 myself

I'm just kicking myself in the ass right now. I'm so mad at ford. They will not give me a loaner or fully pay for a rental while this work is being done for the next 10-14 days. The only thing thats nice is that the ESP coverage will get me 5 days of a rental but what good is that really for something major like this? By the time I get the car back it will probly be a month!

Its bull****. I take my mom's beemer in with 92k and its an 01' getting its brakes changed and she gets a loaner for however long she needs it untill she can make it back to the dealer in SLC. My wife's POS Kia's timing belt broke under warranty, they were backed up at the dealer and she had a rental for a week and 1/2. Not to mention I got "pushed" away with "thats just how it is" trying to get my car even looked at by 3 other local dealerships. Luckly I have a close friend that works in the parts dept at the dealership its at now. He'd make them get me a loaner but they're such a small dealership they only have 1 loaner car.

I'm just really frustrated right now to pay 400$ a month for something I'm not driving or really getting help from. Thank god I convinced my dad to get a mustang. He's letting me borrow his F-150 untill this is done. I would continue to drive my stang but the clutch wasn't to happy with the new horsepower and its now slipping more than the tires are. After I get done typing this I'm off to the garage to get it on jackstands and start the clutch swap.

GRR..

I know of one maruader that took 5 weeks to paint at a cost of over $8200.00..Make sure they remove the front and rear glass...bumpers, etc.
Ford paid for it!

From what I've heard he's got an auth from ford for 2500$ total. The guy they do the paint work for does alot of customs and is pretty reputable. I get the shaft on everything I can't do in life so I wouldn't be surprised its repainted with krylon. Anything extra though and I have to $$$$. He's a good friend and knows if anything is done half assed I'll raise hell.

stevengerard: Its funny you say that because everytime my wife's car or my mom's car have gone in they have been detailed or washed!!!

Edit: oh yea I'm showing homes tomorrow. I can't wait to say "mind if I ride with you?" or "wana ride in the back of an F-150? its fun!"

It's got to be the dealership. Everytime I take my Marauder in for service I get a rental covered and it's washed when I get it back!

I think that the dealerships bear a lot blame for killing the American auto industry.

My dealer washes my car, even for something as small as an oil change.
Not sure if they'd give me a loaner during the 30 minutes, though

The Ford and the L&M shop I deal with won't wash my car. The L&M shop did give me a loaner once.
It's crap like this that makes me regret this car.

My dealership is some where in the middle on this one....they will wash the car if I ask for it and I have gotten a loaner twice...once it was the finance managers Lincoln LS, and the second was a salesmans Mercury Mt. The other couple of times the dealership paid for my rental...but it all goes back to the big trouble I had when I bought the Marauder.
