I thought you weren't going to race again? In one post you said that you would not need a fire jacket because you would not be racing again. Now you state that you are. Which is it. BTW, here is that thread:

Its on a plate near the license plate. It may have helped that I was carrying a gun (and badge) at the time.

Rears are Weld Alumnastar 15 x 10 w/6" BS
Fronts are the Alumnastar 2.0s 15 x 3.5 w/2.25" BS (and don't fit by a mile)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Glad you like it !

I like the setup. Would be nice to throw on and see the #s. Let us know if you take it to the track like that.

I had intended to take it to the track with just the slicks, BUT, the shock bolt began rubbing the inside rim screws. That was the last night our only track was open. It is now closed for good.

Mary, no disrespect, but where were you when Mac attacked Daryl out of the blue on the "widened rims thread"? Everyone saw what happened there. It was an unsolicited attack so nasty Mac had to come back and edit his post. Was Mac on the "Daryl Watch" that night? Just curious as to your selective posting.

I just didn't see any connection between Mac asking about tire specs in this thread and a previous comment about racing. Makes one wonder, eh?

Yes, it certainly does.

It makes me wonder why you would post a criticism of Daryl's zinger question to Mac this time while you sat back and said nothing when Mac tore into Daryl a few short weeks ago. The fact that Daryl is watching what Mac posts with a discerning eye (after the lambasting Mac gave him) shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

BTW, the connection is simple. Mac said "Nope...I'm not racing anymore, but thanks for asking" just 4 weeks ago. Now he said its going to be a "goodyear" as he is obviously looking for some sort of racing tire set up. Daryl was pointing out the inconsistency. Perhaps being bit nit picking....maybe. But I understand Daryl still might be a bit sore from a the holy reeming he received courtesy of Mac.

Let's not play dumb here.

I should have done something with that uncalled for slam and rip on Darryl by Mac. Certain folks would have had a field day with that, Dave the moderator sticking up for a fellow MCM. Mac's bantering of Darryl was allowed to happen then, yet Darryl gets set straight for pointing out a fact now.

Yeah, between the turds rolling up on Waikiki and Dog showing the tourists all the high spots of Wahiawa, Ewa Beach and Waipahu, things must be getting rough! Have some Li Hing Mui for me!

I tried a pair of these on my car at Sutton, barely touched the shock bolt, I be I could file it down or change a the spacer on the shock - yes, no, maybe so?

ROADWARRIORSVT
04-07-2006, 06:51 PM
Yea, or maybe turn the bolt around. Mine would have been fine if it were'nt for the rim screws. the rima has a 6" backspacing FYI.

Probably because of its derogatory nature...which is how it was used in this post.

Do the 15" Weld rims clear the stock brakes? Correct backspacing can come later.
