Well, coming home from a friends down in Indianapolis Sunday, the car died on the expressway. I was cruising at 65-70 and lost all power. Had the car towed, the garage checked it out Monday, and said the engine would not turn over. So, I had the car towed back to Chicago and now it sits at the dealer. I think they checked it out today and they think it could be an engine bearing, but they are still looking into it. Now they are trying to get Ford to authorize a new long block. I wish I had more details, I'm going to call again tomorrow. I have an extended warranty which should cover this. Just sucks not kowing whats gonna happen. For now I am driving a rental Charger. It is actually a nice car, however it does need a 5.7L, and not the 2.5L this one has.

Sorry to hear that....good luck with the dealer. Hopefully they wont give you any trouble with the warranty work, looks like you only have minor mods.
How many miles did you have on it? Any previous symptoms? Just wondering what to try to look out for in the future.
Again, good luck with the repairs
An injector might have stuck open and hydrolocked a cylinder.

Good luck with the repairs. It sucks to be Marauderless once you get spoiled to it. I felt lost and disoriented for two days when mine was in for paint and body recently.

I would have maybe taken off a few mods before taking it to the dealer. They just LOVE to void warranties. How many miles did your MM have? Im sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope all is better and in your favor soon.

The car has been fine, no problems. It has 48k miles on it. Thats why I was so surprised when this happened. I change the oil on a regular 3000 mile basis. I was hoping to get the pullies off before the inspector came to look at it, but I don't have a puller at home. I was gonna have the delaer do it for me, which they would have done, but the said the inspector was on the way. As far as the other mods go, I would hope the exhaust and cold air intake wouldn't affect the warranty. A woman in a 3 series BMW hit me a month ago, and I finally got that squared away last week. It was only minor damage to the rear bumper. Now I am without the car again, who knows how long this time.

I have a 300a marauder, and it also has 48000 miles on it. It just died last week. It was driving just fine, i parked it, and went to start it a week later and it dosent turn over. Sucks... the fuel is in there, it should be getting spark, and the voltage is good. good luck

Well, I am getting a new engine installed, and Ford is paying for it. Covered under the extended warranty. Still not sure what happened to the original engine, will have to find out. Should be done in the next day or two. But, I do have one thing I'm not sure of. Will the custom tune that I have work with the new engine, or will I have to get it retuned?

WOW that is strange. Ask what happened, the dealer will tell you and it
should be on your invoice as well. Good luck :(

If your custom tune was done on a wide band O2 sensor,
I woud have it redone once the engine is broken in.

Unless Ford installs a fresh EEC to match the calibration of the new engine, your previous custom tune will be in place when you pick up the car. Tunes don't fall out of the computer, they are burned in place and remain so until erased, or, written over.
