The AER annual show is one of the best in the area--LOTS of cars and LOTS of great door prizes:D This will be # 3 for me and I have enjoyed every event. They raised over $21,000 for charities last year--Sooo, check their web site, send in your registration ( or register on show day, if you aren't sure) The Site has details, registration form and detailed map--Put this one on your calendar and you won't be disappointed---See you there, Maury

This is a great event; I regret missing last year's, but I plan on making it this year.

Just a reminder that the AER show is this Saturday--looks like a 70 degree day--perfect. We need to keep reminding the car show folks that we can turn out for a show-- it's well worth the registration fee and the money goes to a great charity. You don't have to be pre-registered--just get there as early as you can--so we can all park together. There are lots of car shows this weekend--but this is one of the best. Check their web site as in Rodster's first post --then click on "Special Events" at the top of the page for info. Hope to see you there, Maury

Just talked to Rod---how about the Tarrant County folks meeting at The IHOP at Precinct Line Road and Mid-Cities Boulevard at , say, 0700 AM and leave from there--with fast service , we could be at AER about 0815. I am going to call the # on the AER site and see how the planners are thinking--will post as soon as possible. Unless we are having hail, I'll be at IHOP anyhow. If you have time, post your intentions tonite--cross your fingers, Maury

I will plan on attending and participating in the show unless it gets rained out. I have to work late so I may skip the breakfast in exchange for a few more mins of sleep. But I hope to see you all there!

Was contacted by the North Texas Mustang Club (put on AER show)--they will make the decision at 8 AM--they are not too optomistic and the rain date is next Saturday, the 13th. I just got home, so it's too late to make phone contacts. Hope everyone sees this. If it is apparent that the show will be cancelled, I wont be at IHOP at 7 AM. unless I hear from you. I will be answering my cell phone ( 817-296-3819 ) after 6:45 AM. Feel free to call. I am not very optomistic--tornados and hail already developing--keep your fingers crossed. Maury:help:

I hope it clears up all the sudden.....I will check and/or call for updates tomorrow....although if it is nasty I will assume all is off. I am getting married next Sat. (13th) so I have my fingers crossed there is no cancellation. Anyway........have a great night......
Justin

I've been watching the radar and listening to the NWS on the radio. I think it is starting to break up. That being said, now that I've stayed up this late, I don't think I'll make it to breakfast. My bet is that the weather will be OK. The cold front is south of here and there is nothing on the long range radar behind this storm that is coming in now. I guess it is Spring in texas, can't predict anything for sure.

Steve, Linda and myself are leaving IHOP in about 30 minutes---Rod will join us at AER--no official word, but I see no reason to cancel--if they do, I'm sure we can find something to do:banana2: Maury

Steve and Linda , Rod and myself made a 4 car convoy from Hurst to AER. We were joined there by Phil (CRZYBIKR) . About 20 cars showed up. The promoters were afraid of afternoon , sudden-forming T-storms and didn't want a bunch of great cars to be caught in hail on the way home. Even tho we dodged the bullet, I think it was a reasonable call. RAIN DATE-----NEXT SATURDAY, MAY 13TH. We are losing 3 of the 5 MMs we had today for next Sat. Phil is getting married (ONGRATULATIONS), Linda and Steve may be working--Rod and I are planning to be there--. Now the BIG NEWS---we now have "Marauder Alley" at AER:banana2: We have been assigned our own parking area for about 10+ cars--Sooooooo PLEASE don't leave me hanging next week and come if you possibly can--even if it's just long enough to register and visit a few minutes--you won't regret it. I know Mother's Day is on Sunday and will understand--but just give it your best try--and hope for good weather:help: Rod, Phil and I didn't want to waste the trip, so we went to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison Airport--Fokker D VII, D III (Red Baron aircraft), Sopwith Camel ( Snoopy), Mig 15, 17 & 21, F104, F 105, F 4C, F4U Corsair, Spitfire, ME 109, HE-111, F9F Panther, F-86E, S-2B, B-25J, Tiger Moth, PT-19, PT-22, BT-13, N2S-PT 19 Stearman, Tiger Moth, L-3, L5, L-4 Grasshoppers were all there---the P-40, P-47, P-51 and FM-2 Wildcat were all gone to Air Shows. Quite a visit. Brought back a lot of memories. Hope to see a lot of you next Saturday. Drive safely, but with Gusto, Maury

Hey Maury,
This is Justin (CRZYBIKER); I just wanted to thank you for the time at the Air Museum, it was very eduational and sure gave me an apppreciation of the U.S.A heritage. I never would have found my way home if it was not for your 'guidance' I am from Colorado, definitely different geography(Texas has weird roads). Your MM sure sounded good, I cannot wait to get my P.C.M Flashed. I have a '67 Mustang I am re-doing and have a few mod's to do on it first though. I wish I could make it to the show, but I am getting married to a great girl (May 13th). Rod was nice, I like the Marroon color on the marauder, it is a nice twist on the original and he is nice guy as well. I went home today and extracted the resonator from my exhaust tips, it makes a very DEEP tone now, and fixed the exhaust leak I had so it sounds better. I am glad to be part of a 'club' that involves a rare a car, the MM is a special car. I hope to be more involved with the club; I am young, but the interest and attraction I have for the Maruder should match or excel that of most; I wanted one of these cars before it was more than a concept car. I hate to say, but my poor old Mustang has been collecting dust since I bought the Marauder. I hope the Show goes well, I will be in the Bahamas.........poor me :)...lol...Have fun guy's!

:help: :help: :help: :help: I really need to now who will be attending AER this Saturday. If you would post or PM me a yes or no so I can be prepared to answer show hosts about planned attendance--I sure would appreciate it. Thanks to the folks who showed up last Saturday--I don't think any of them will make it this week-end. I know this is Mother's Day week-end, so take care of family first. Plan to arrive between 8-10 AM for the best chance to see all the cars. You can check in with me at 817-296-3819 after 0630 AM on Sat. It's a great show for a good cause--hope to see you there, Maury
