Hey, im new here. but i was wondering what was the size of the centercap, We have a '67 Mercury Cougar, we just finished installing total control control arms and suspension and ect., anyway, there is a black space at the stop of the spring tower now, we're looking at a mercury man head to put in there, and from what i've seen it looks like it would work, so anyway...i would like to know how big a round it is, and if posible if you could measure how thick it is...i have checked ebay for them but have found nothing as of yet...much thanks

The centercap fits in a 2 1/4" hole. The actual emblem is a hair over
2 1/2" in diameter and about 1/4" thick --- it is held to the insert clip
by double sided tape. The insert clip is about 5/8" thick.
Hope this answers your question.
Welcome aboard.

ok maybe one more thing...a few pics...preferably front and back and one on the rim, or whatever is conveniant for you to post, we are trying to decide if this will work, i have seen them on a Marauder and thought it would be perfect to fit on top of the shock towers for the Cougar, my father has yet to see it and is trying to picture things out..., The Cougar is Dad's car.
Here is what im talking about

Thanks for explaining, I didn't really get your first inquiry on this.
Yes, if you seperate the godshead trim from the centercap hardware, they should look great on your shock towers. I have one mounted on a marble block, which is used as a paperweight. Even if they leave a small blue ring around them, that would be a neat visual.
Bear in mind though, the godshead faces the left, so one side will face to the forward of the car, the other towards the rear.
Nice Cougar!
