IIRC it was auctioned off. It's not road worthy but still is something cool to have.

I used to work for the guy who owns it now. It was bought by a Lincoln/Mercury dealer in the suburbs of Philly. They had to hook all the electrics up in the doors and a lot of other things. I believe he had a custom hard top made for it, just for bad weather.

I believe it was sold with the agreement (in writing likely) that it would never be driven on the road. Why go through all that trouble?

It cannot be titled.

But you could pull all the parts off and put them on another frame and title it as a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis. :)

I agree, and for what I heard the guy paid for the car, I'd figure a way to drive it.

I heard thru the master himself, Jerry Barnes that it is structurally not sound. There is not adequate framing for rigidity. It can be driven at about 10 mph without any bumps. Sounds like fun to me. Pretty cool though. Mini poll here...would you buy one?? Personally I would have to see it up close before I would be able to honestly answer.

I would be happy with a two door CV/GM/Marauder, it wouldn't have to be a convertable for me. :)

This is true, the car can't be driven over 15mph.It is not built to drive, just to look at,The vehicle was produced with no serial numbers on it anywere, when the car was moved from car show to car show it would bend and flex, during loading and unloading from car carrier. The car is owned by a dealer outside Phily, were it was displayed.
