Rich Long????
I got a PM the other day from Mike (Sully008) and being the good neighbor from the North that he is, he offered me the certificate he won. No strings attached.
Wow, I was bit taken back. But he knew I was doing my research and trying to decide which way to go, so he made the offer.
To be honest, I was leaning heavily towards DR's air to air kit. In fact I had even started looking at ways to make a few changes to it for myself.
I've gotten a pile of opinions, comments and even had telephone conversations about the various kit's.
MarauderJack was guiding me towards the FIT kit which he is very happy with. Mac was a big help with his ideas, Fordnut told me about his "tweener" kit, and of course, a few of the guys running the triology got ahold of me.
But as I said, I had pretty much decided to go with DR's package with an upgrade or two.
Looking at the Trilogy, I really liked the OEM style of it and the way it keeps the front of the engine less complicted looking. But the higher price was keeping me from pulling the trigger.
Then I got Mike's PM. Yeah, true $400.00 is not a huge discount on the setup, but it covers my shipping and the credit card percentage. So, I ordered it.
I'll be doing a self install. Should be fun.
I'm sending Mike my pullies and PHP spacer as a thank you when I yank them for the install, but I want everyone to know that he offered it with no expectations except that it be used.
I think that's awful cool. Thanks Mike.... remind me never to stand on the edge of a cliff with you though, you can push a guy over the edge real easy! :D

Rich,
Calm down, drink from the Kool-Aid jug, relax, enjoy the flavor, enjoy the feeling, wipe the thoughts of other superchargers from your mind, imagine the sensation when your right foot presses hard on the gas pedal after the install, feel your body pressed back in the driver seat, smell the odor of burning rubber, lots of it, adjust your steering to compensate for the sideways slide of the car, take another sip of Kool-Aid, relax, the flavor is addicting, accept it and then you imagine picking up the phone and someone at the other end says, "Hi, I'm Jerry, glad to have you as a new customer!". Your not in heaven, your just a member of the Trilogy Motorsports Family.

Congrats Rich, I think you'll be very pleased with your choice.
My only suggestion is don't unpack the kit in the house. Your wife will freak at the mountain of boxes after you unpack it.

Rich,
I knew that the certificate would go to good hands. I thank you for offering the spacer and pullies in return. Good karma works both ways. Make sure you do a burnout for me and apologize to your wife for pushing you over the edge!

Rich,
Congrats from # 120, everything you heard is true, you're going to love the kit, it is incredible.
And wait till you hear it, the sound is addictive, and it scares the Bejessus out of anyone within 50 yards.
Sully, you are one cool dude, what a great gesture, karma will reward you, just ask " Earl ".
Rich, get that kit installed and go smoke some rice and maybe a few Skankees.
All the best, Bob:burnout:

I just have a little bit of commentary about what Bob said here^....
Most guys seem to like the whine of the supercharger, while some do not. I'm one of those who doesn't like it, and therefore I was a little concerned about the possibility of it being very noticeable when I purchased the Trilogy S/Cer kit for my Marauder.
After two years of driving my car with it, I've learned that if you retain the stock intake air tube along with that weird looking "J" snorkel lookin' thing, then the Trilogy superchgarger whine isn't very noticeable at all. In fact it's more like a very subtle moan, and one that you really have to listen for to detect. A trained ear can pick it up, but the noise doesn't jump out at you. Particularly if you have mufflers or headers which make the exhaust sound atleast slightly louder than stock.
But when you have one of the aftermarket intake tubes on your Marauder such as the one Bob and some other guys have, then that makes the Trilogy S/Cer whine very noticeable whenever you get into the boost. I just thought I'd clarify that for others who might not want to hear any whine of a supercharger.
If you want a better idea of what I'm talking about, just look at Dave's burnout video (aka "MI2QWIK4U") and then get a copy of mine, and you'll immediately hear what a big difference in sound his car makes as compared to mine. One doesn't neccessarily sound any better than the other. It's a matter of taste, and they definately sound different.
