Anyone using a Reese trailer hitch on their MM? Any difficulty installing it?
When I bought my car, previous owner threw in a Reese model 33047, which in the instructions says it is appropriate for Marauder (also Marquis, other models).
Thanks -
David

I installed a Hidden Hitch but it's not hidden and looks like a Reese!!
I epoxied the bolts in place so I could remove it when not using it but never took it back off!!
I put a Blue Oval badge on a plug for the receiver and it actually looks pretty good!!

I have a draw-tite class 2 for my bicycle carrier. Since I am not weighing it down with a trailer, I only have the front (and easier) part bolted in.
Update: I added a pic of my MM with the hitch in my gallery.

Here is the "write-up" for my Hidden Hitch Class 2 (36116) install.
I had to drill 4 holes in the frame:( unlike others who only had to do two. Fishing the bolts into the two holes furthest into the frame was a real pain. The final solution was to slide the bolt into the spacer and then wrap fine bailling wire around the threads, fish the wire about two feet from the access hole to my new drilled hole and then carefully pull into place. I had the car on jackstands and it was a pain to drill holes and fish bolts. Not sure if it was worth the $35 I saved. Had to spend $15 on a 1/2" drill bit. Total install time was 60-90 minutes. Marauderjack, the idea of epoxying the bolts in place is a good one, I do not want to go through the PITA of fishing bolts.
Come springtime I will get a bike rack for the hitch also.

Very nice..on another subject, how do you like the 40's/Meg's res delete tip combo? I have the delete tips and was thinking about modding the exhaust a little bit more..
Thx.

It's not a Reese, I think it's a Drawtite:

There's nothing like towing a trailer when you have the torque a supercharger gives you.

I installed my own hitch but I do not remember what model it was. It was for the Marquis and all the others too. It came with 6 nut plates with wires welded to them so it was fairly easy to line them up with the holes. The biggest problem I had was I drilled 4 holes so there were 6 holes. But two of the holes went through the weld and the nut plate did not want to sit flat and made it hard to start the screw and then get it tight. The other problem is now my proguard will not fit.:fire: All in all it was not too difficult. Good luck!

Well, local shop did the job and said it wasn't too much trouble (still charged me an hour for it). Looks fine. I see if I can manage posting a photo.

Hi David - Not sure what Class hitch your talking about but you may remember sseing the Class III on mine> It was form U-Haul and as I remember
they had to drill 2 or 4 out of the 6 or 8 total bolt holes . Either the Class II or
III will beef-up the frame for crash protection (Poss. Exploding gas tank etc.)
Take care = Paul

Paul -
It's a class III and they were able to get it on, but I din't talk to the wrench about whether that meant drilling new holes or not. Maybe the 04's had the holes in place.
Hope you are enjoying whatever you are driving.

Finally got the bike rack and got it set up. Only problem is now she does not fit in the garage with the rack on:(

The rack is a Thule Expressway, not the cheapest rack, but it is very sturdy, hold four bikes and has a built in lock.
