OK.....
Does anyone remember how far apart the alignment holes for the rear "Hockey Stix" badge are?? I put a "Ford Centennial" badge over them but don't remember if they are centered and how far apart they are!!:argue:
I was wondering if a wheel center cap is large enough (2.25" or so) to cover the holes??:help:

I don't believe that it will cover the holes.

I just happen to have my rear badge off right now.
The holes are spaced at 2 3/4" , too far for a wheel cap.

Has anyone come up with a lowbuck way to "shave" or replace the rear badge???

My modified rear emblem will be available as soon as I replace it w/ the CARMotorSports one.

Can you measure the size of the holes? I would like to remove my rear badge if I can find an appropriately sized cool plug to fill the holes. Stainless, rubber or plastic I'm not quite sure. Knowing the hole diameter will help in the search.
Thanks

not really low buck unless you do it yourself - I eliminated it completely

Someone here did this awhile back and I thought it looked pretty good so I ordered the FMC "Centennial" badge for mine!!

OK we are talking very small holes to plug here.
I went to ACE hardware and bought the 2 smallest
sizes of black plastic plugs. The pins themselves are:
(approx.) 1/8" and 3/16". I got the plugs to fill the holes
but I had to make a couple of slot cuts in the sides to
allow them to fit.

Please post pics of the finished results. :)
This sounds like a similar mod I did to the front of my 1990 mustang, to fill in the license plate holes.

Donk,
That looks pretty good.
That is the same route I went with my 1990 mustangs front bumper, but it looks like you found smaller plugs than I did.
Good work :)

Use a fishing line and remove the hockey stick emblem. Then use a Dremel tool to grind away the nasty stuff in the center, leaving the mounting pins and surround. You can epoxy the center god's head covers into the center, or any number of very cool emblems. Some have used the pewter cobra key chains, and one guy Merc, used a silver Harley "Live to Ride" emblem. There's lots of threads on all sorts of mods. Have at it, they're all cool. There may be still a couple of examples in my gallery, if they survived the last disaster.;)
OK, I just posted the photos of two examples of Hockey stick deleate mods. Also added a little Sunshine for you're enjoyment.

Ok What kind of epoxy are people using? I have JB Weld epoxy will that work? If so here comes the fishing line.
