Thats cheap but Im curious if they will work with our cars and what gains will be expected with them bolted on and tuned.

If alls well, then $300 is a steal and I shall order mine tomorrow

I am hip to these....nice find. Now lets try and find out if they will fit. I was puting off doing exhaust but now I am rethinking it.
Ceramic coating is cool.

Plus for $300 and the fact that they bolt up to your stock exhaust without major modification!

Lets get on this and see what they do.

I think these require a Cobra X-Pipe w/ extension, as well as a EGR Extension Tube to connect. I DO NOT believe these will connect to the factory H-Pipe.

Yes these will fit to our heads. We have D-shaped ports these are made for oval shaped ports(but that is negligible). Either way they will work on the heads.... now the rest of the exhaust is another story. They will not work with our factory exhaust. You will need a the aforementioned DR EGR extension tube and a Cobra X-pipe or H-pipe(your preference). This is the super duper condensed version.

Fact: The FRP P/N that fits the 4V DOHC engine is the M-9430 E-464 (stainless) and E-465 (Jet Coated) and it's not a perfect "slip-in" fit on a Marauder. Light modification is required.

Fact: The 2006 FRP catalogue prices are 350. and 450. respectively. Thus, Summit's discount price on these shorties is very good, about 75 bucks off.

Opinion: One may presume they were not popular with the folks who purchased the limited edition '03/'04 SVT Cobra, and with the discontinuation of the car, it's time to clear the Summit shelves. BTW, the Summit discount on the '05 3V shorty header (S-197 and S-197C) is only 30 bucks, but this frame/engine combo will be around a while.

Fact: These headers will NOT bolt up to OEM Marauder exhaust. You will need to fabricate additional exhaust mods to make them work on a Marauder. Moreover, without improving the Marauder exhaust to at least 2.5" OD, adding high flow cats and X pipe, your actual performance will be disappointing, even with the discounted Summit price.

Opinion...This is why the exhaust "kits" offered by Reinhart and Kook's are still a better deal. Everything you need to install on the Marauder in one box, okay, maybe two. But, bolt 'em on and go. Little fuss, no muss...

Opinion...My menmory fails me on the specific performance numbers, but with all else being equal, the DR Cobra kit will out perform the FRP Shorty headers. Likewise, all things being equal, the Kook's mid-length headers will outperform the DR Cobra kit, but not by very much. You will have to consider each kit's cost and install time to rate these two kits fairly in "bang for the buck".

Fact...I am finally switching over from the DR Cobra kit on my #1x, to the Kook's mid length header kit. I tried, but I could not do this before, because the money-performance wasn't balancing out. However, buying another Marauder solved that, the DR Cobra kit will go on my #3.

Hope this 411 helps, carry on...

Fact: Mac gave good info once again!
Opinion: If you're into the exhaust thing and like a bit of experimenting, this is a good start! Good pricing no doubt. But... I'm a wuss and prefer the tried and proven, most of the time.

Just my opinion... FRP Shorty headers will out perform the DR Cobra kit hands down. I had both setups and have the numbers to prove it on a N/A marauder. As far as the Kook head compairsion, just look at timeslip database.
