On the road for business, but Oldest Son at home reports a "gash" on one of the front tire's sidewall. (Nobody dun it ...):mad2: ...So here I am two weeks from Sebring with a tire that potentially won't pass Tech inspection for the track.:mad2: ...

So I called my closest Tire Kingdom in Jacksonville, "Billy" is going to get back to me tomorrow. Might have a good chance of that, as he knew what a Marauder was, knew of DR and knew that some of us Supercharge our cars. I plan on replacing all 4 tires if the one is bad.

So, here's the question, after searching through related posts I came up with three sizes for our stock rims:
235/50
245/55
255/50
Am I missing something?
I am thinking about putting the same size all around, and going with something besides BFG, all input is appreciated. I might note that I probably won't be quarter milin' it with this car, but autocross etc. is a possibillity...
I understand about TC on my 2004 (must be off), but what about ABS?
I really don't want to look at the light all the time...
Thanks, Jim

I have Toyo Proxes ST 255/50/18 VR18 on rears
Fronts are stock.
Have to turn traction control off.

Really wish I had smaller fronts now or gone w/ the factory size rears, though in the KDW2's (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20285).

ABS seems fine though.

I do like that the Toyo's seem to have a deep tread so I'm hoping they last for a while. They are sport truck tires so the ride is a little rougher but they stick to the road well.

I'm also curious if anyone has tried Falken's... oh well

Good info.
The KDW2s seem to be a moot point, as they won't be available for at least amonth. Tire Kingdom has some Pirellis available at over 3 bills apiece...

Call Ford Customer Service and advise them that you cannot find OEM tires anywhere and if you have a blowout and wreck the car you will sue....You may get a positive response then!!??:help:

I still cannot figure out what they were thinking!!!:argue: :mad2:
