all in all it was a great day, meet 3 other marauder owners, made 4 passes down the strip, watched a little action from the stands, and hit the malls in CF,

sorry guys that i didnt stay longer, could not get any sleep last night, to excited!! So the woman wanted to his some store and we went home to relax and nap (i must be getting old)

i think that i will have to look into the 4.10 gears and my xcal2 that ive been wanting

my best time for the day was a 15.4 (all stock + JLT intake)

Had a blast and will do it again, and ill put my pics up with a link soon too.

Ken and Jen,

It was good meeting both of you! I was under the tower shooting footage for a while and then you were gone. Don't worry, I got a touch of sun burn and the three of us (Andrew, Jason and I) called it a day not much after you left.

It really was a good opening day!

I'll let Jason and Andrew post on bragging rights. I didn't run.

Cheers!

John

yeah i should of call u and let you know we were headin home... we decided we couldnt wait and grabbed something to eat outside of track ($3.50 for a $1 McDonalds cheeseburger) so we ate, then she wanted some things at the petco (we dont have one in marshalltown) by now i was so tired i was poping NODOZ, and we decided its was time to go home and sleep.

but it was a great time, i wish i was faster, but it was very cool to meet you guys, let me know some info about the gauges you got, and maybe some pics of them lit up..... very trick!

well do it again,
i think i need to see a doctor about insomnia, and get some pills... i can never sleep at night

Ken, you can check out my gauges here:

http://john.frieltek.com/toomanyfords/marauder

I see that Autometer has several new gauges for the Nexus line:

1. 3-3/8" pedestal tachometer
2. Transmission temp 100-260*F (now on my list!)
3. Boost 0-60 psi
4. Wideband air/fuel (waiting for wes's GB!)

I also see they now have a 3-3/8" in-dash tachometer 0-10000 rpm. I've never taken my dash apart but if our factory tach is this size, I may pop for the in-dash tach too. Now if they made a Speedo to match I would be all over the custom tach/spedo combo!

Whoot!

I ran the 1/4 mile in just under 78 seconds. Then I remembered I brought my Marauder.

I now know I need new tires. Well, I guess I already knew that before I showed up. I did improve my 1/4 time by .3 over last year. I know there is more to gain with this new torque converter. I'll try again when I get my tune fixed and some tires. It was fun, and we will have to do it again soon!
