This is a little original. I've seen "who has the best?" & "what is your mpg?" but not who has the worst.

include any mods that might affect it. don't mention brand names - I'd rather make it neutral

mine 11.4 mpg, 225mi on a tank (give or take)

tune, N/A, stock gears, CAI

I know it's mainly a lead foot but I just put the stock tune back on today and I'm going to see what diff that makes (btw, I can feel the difference w/ it back on after 2 yrs. It definitely doesn't shift with authority anymore. Feels like it putts along now)

I don't have a fancy spreadsheet for my stuff. My low range is 280 miles on a tank, highest is 336 on a tank. I get better than 17mpg. That includes track time and lead foot.

I don't even track my MPG anymore. When she needs a drink she gets it. As my daily driver in Northern Virginia, my MM spends lots of time in very heavy traffic. We count travel in minutes/hours not by miles. :D

My worse was about 8mpg with a good amount of short trips and a very heavy foot. I was only going a few miles at a time and having quite a bit of fun. :D

Luckily, my next worse was around 12mpg.
For the most part, I get around 17mpg.

Same here, I treat my accelerator as a On/Off Switch. Whatever it needs it gets but the more I try to keep track of my MPG the more depressed I tend to get. And I'm getting Regular, you guys have to get Premium! Yet my car is roughly as fast as a stock rauder now.

280-300 miles to a tank, lead foot 20% city driving, 80% highway, also like to drive with the OD off or until i get about 70 mph. stock besides drop-in k&n filter and 2.5" piping from h-pipe back, flow 40's and res delete tips, waiting on my order of the coil connector plugs that wes sells. they should be here any day and luckly enough i got the last set out of the group buy woohoo. hopefully that will get me some more miles.

question for those that got the sct xcal2 unit with Lidio's tune and did you notice any mileage difference? i know it prolly went down because you want to smash the go pedal more but over time did you see a decrease or increase or stay the same?

I'm going to fill it up anyway. Knowing the MPG may be depressing.

Fortunately I only have to drive 1.5 miles to the bus stop. I track milage by weeks-between-fill-ups.

However, this last tank, I got 18.3 mpg, though I had to refill after only 4 days.

I'm pretty close. Usually around 180 miles a tank, and that's even if I take it easy.

I think I have you beat... But apparently not some of the other heavy footers around here!!!!!

I get 195 miles on a tank and then put in 16.5 gallons in at fill ups..... I didnt do the math but I know it sucks.

If I do really good like I have this week I can get about 210 on a tank and only put in about 15.75 gals like I did yesterday.

This all comes from loving to hear my turbo spool up and the recirc valve do its job....

If I had a lighter foot I would be much better off.

195 miles / 16.5 gallons = 11.82 MPG  Yep, that's at the suckage level. ...... and one of the reasons I don't track mine anymore. I'd prefer not to know --- 'cause it serves no useful purpose --- I ain't getting rid of the MM and its doubtful that I'll change my driving habits. ;)

11-12mpg on average with the Crown Vic, thats to work and home (20%city / 80%highway), wife averages 19mpg in the Marauder, 70%city / 30%highway).

The best I noticed, but I don't think I recorded was on the very first road trip with the car I was averaging 100 miles per 1/4 tank. I think I eventually filled up after having gone about 350 miles or so.

here is what I learned from this thread.

1) Crown Vics suck gas

2) 4v engines seem to get better mileage

Since I have been S/C'd, in town beatings are a regular occurance.

14.6 Mpg in town
22.5 Mpg Hwy

and thats with 4:10s cruising at 82

I used to get 24mpg regularly on the highway when I commuted 90 miles a day. I'd much rather average 15 mpg and only drive 3 miles a day though.

Damn straight, same here! Although since my tranny blew 2 weeks ago, I've been taking it pretty easy. Until, that is, I get the Art Carr upgrade kit from Dennis. Then it's game on baby!

BTW, my worst has been about 12 mpg and my best about 22.

Thank you, you all make me feel better I get 160 - 190 miles per tank anywhere from 8 - 11 mpg. best on the highway was 16 mpg. I keep track but don't pay attention to mpg - I only pay for it.

It's not a Marauder, but I get 13-14 mpg city and 19-21 mpg highway:
00 HPP w/ 3.55s and some mods, but I have NEVER gotten more than 16 mpg city when the car was brand spanking new with less than 10 miles on the odometer.

update: after changing to stock tune my car went to 15.38 mpg city & approx 260 miles on a full tank.
That's an increase in 4mpg and 40 miles on a tank.

Is this much mpg loss typical w/ a tune?

I usually get 300 miles around town which is just short of 18 MPG.
I can get 400 miles per tank if it's all highway miles.

My 04 MM is stock.

I will be doing alot of highway driving, I drive all over CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA. I usually run around 80-90 in my expedition and I am averaging 11.2 city hwy combined. It has 4 wheel drive and I drive through mountains alot.. It seems like I am constantly going up hill????

Does anyone have an idea of just highway driving at say an average of 80MPH?

Last November I got 9 mpg and then 7mpg on two consecutive fill ups. I expect to get about the same this weekend. Most of the time I am in the 15-16 mpg (all city driving).

Worst ever: S/C 13.8 mpg, city driving and 8 passes at the track.

Best Highway: S/C 23 mpg, N/A 26.2 mpg

Average Highway: S/C 22.2 mpg, N/A 23 mpg

Average All City: S/C 16.5 mpg, N/A 17 mpg

Currently using Bad Gas Tune: 275 miles, 16.1 gallons = 17 mpg, 70% city 30% highway

I have an '03 completely stock Marauder and am getting 27.5 mpg with a blend of town and highway (mostly highway) driving. This is "grandma" type driving. When I get fiesty my mpg drop drastically, of course. I'm so amazed at this gas mileage. I've checked and rechecked it because I really couldn't believe it. Sure do love this car. I had a new Buick Grand National in the eighties that didn't do near as well on gas mileage.

I just took a nice trip to Ocean City, MD which was about 150mile, the longest I've driven the Marauder in one shot. All I have to say is wow it def likes to be driven on the highway. I don't top my tank off when I fill it up but I usually get 80-95 miles from full to 3/4 tank which I thought was alright until I took this trip and at 3/4 of a tank my mileage was reading 152 miles. I was doing speeds from 60-80mph, lots of braking cause of traffic back up. Is this something normal for their to be such a differnce in the city/hwy mileage? I think I only used cruise control for maybe 10 mins out of 3 hrs each way on the trip. I did however notice a black MM cruising down 50 towards Easton, it had tinted windows like 20%, MD farmer's tags and a CB ant on the trunk. I think I've seen it before around where I live at and the tag says "RAUDER" anyone know who this is?
