I am mostly interested in your trunk positioning for the bottle. Will it fit up on the shelf, or mounted to the passenger side inner fender wall?

Mine fits on side cubby. I put it on the passenger side.

In addition to the mechanical gauge on the bottle, I installed a electric gauge in the cabin, and another switch/relay so I can turn it on or off inside or in the trunk.

I screwed it to the carpet next to the trans tunnel, under the ashtray.
One more thing, check the length of your main nitrous supply line. The Mustang length line that came with my kit was a couple feet short, and I had to go get a 3' extension and coupling.

Here's my set up:

Make sure you vent your bottle.

I was hoping it would fit in the cubby area too. Is that a 10lb bottle? Have you had any problems with remote opener not closing totally, making it leak? Blanket help too?
Looks nice. Big gains huh? Over 1 second?
Vent bottle? Does that take another part, or does it come with the kit?

Mike, did you run your nitrous line inside or under the car? Just curious.
I ran my vent tube straight out the back of the trunk, it exits under the bumper facsia.
I have the top 'shelf' area filled with tools, jack, spare, jackstands, etc, so I put it in the cubby.

Not sure it comes with the Zex kit standard or not. I know I needed to order mine from NOS seperately. Its needed to be legal at most tracks. It routes the nitrous out of the trunk in case of a blow off purge (most nitrous bottles have an over pressure safety release).
I'd get the blanket and warmer too. That's next on my list. They contribute to even nitrous delivery (by maintaining constant bottle temps).

I routed mine outside and to the back of the car as well.
BTW, I went with a 15lb bottle so it would last longer between refills. As it is not my daily driver, this did not pose an issue for me. If you go 15lbs, this is really the only place it fits well.

Bottles may be fine in the trunk without a vent tube. Vent tubes are only really required for bottles mounted in the drivers compartment. Edit- Maybe not, according to others.
I got it anyway to keep my trunk from looking like this.

(This idiot wired his bottle heater to a constant on source)
When I routed my nitrous line under the car, I discovered that the line snapped into the rear-air-suspension line clips just perfect. (I don't have RAS)

Vent,
Is it called a blow down as well, like this?

Can it be added afterwards? I'm itchin to get my kit in the car now.

The NOS blow-down tube is 'L' shaped and is only $21.95

I found the L shape to be much easier to install then a J shape would have been.
The vent/blow down tube can be installed after the primary install, but you have to drill a ~1/2" hole for it to exit the body of the car.

The vent tube is sometimes called a "blow down" tube. But that is old tech. The old blow down tubes are rigid. New vent tubes are flexible.
BTW, a vent tube IS REQUIRED if the bottle is in the trunk of a Marauder and the track is NHRA sanctioned. You won't pass tech on a quality track without it now. Your only choices are to seal the trunk off from the cabin with sheet metal, or use a vent...period. Don't ask me, I don;t make the rules. I've been through this quite extensively with the NHRA tech guys, and its just the way it is now.

The tech guys at Route66 almost stopped Jerry from running his car. We begged them and told them how far we came to run. They let us by but warned us not to come back without one in the future.
Then, at Milan, our local track, which is IHRA sanctioned, told me the same thing...no vent, no run.
I'd get it done just to be safe. Its no fun being turned away at the track when you've, made the trip.

Thanks for the heads up on the Vent tube. I just ordered a fire jacket as well because of the new rules.
Are vent tubes universal, just get braided line? Or is there a name brand? I found the Blow Downs no problem, but not vent tube.
Pardon my ignorance, can I get a brief explanation on what this vent thing does? Does it attach near the nozzle, or on the line? Is this just basically a vent hole in the trunk?

Vent tube is slang for Blow Down tube which is the more correct term.
What they do is route the escaping nitrous outside the car in case the blow-off disc ruptures due to high pressure. The safety disc is usually on the side of the bottle valve. With the bottle empty, you have to unscrew the existing safety disc housing, and replace it with the coupling for the vent tube. Be sure to transfer the actual safety disc to the new coupling.
Normally the only way for the bottle to get to such high pressure as to blow the disc is to use a blow torch(1) too long or miss-wire your bottle heater.
You'll have to drill a hole in the trunk large enough for the exit end of the tube to fit. I routed mine out the rear, under the tail light, and behind the bumper cover.
1- some people use a blowtorch to get the bottle pressure up if they don't have a bottle heater. Use of a blow torch is strictly prohibited at most racetracks, but I see it done anyway.
