Is the input shaft of the blower keyed or is it cone shaped? Is a puller required to swap pullies and do you simply use the nut to press it in or a specific tool to press pulley on?

Will the input shaft of our blower accept a hub that stays on and works with different quick change outer pulleys that allow you tailor your needs for everyday street driving and quick change at the track???

Thank you.

This goes into a convo we had last night too. Can you use any pulley for an Eaton M112 or does the Trilogy require a special offset?

Just thought I'd add that to Smokie's good questions. :)

Our blower pulleys are "keyed". No special tools are required for installation or removal. Our offset is unique. No other blower pulleys, regardless of manufacture, will work. You want a pulley? Call Lidio.

Just to let everyone know, we use a special off-set on our pulleys. Make sure you get the proper off-set if you are changing the pulley and if it is smaller then one size of the standard you need to consider having the vehicle recalibrated. Lidio can have the smaller pulleys made with our off-set and consult you about the tune.

Thanks

Jerry

So the pulley is "not" pressed on, remove the nut and belt and it slides out by hand?

Where can I find an online store of pullies for our blowers? I need something functional that looks nice. If I got another, I don't want a black pulley.

I believe that if you want to get a smaller pulley, you will need to go thru Jerry or Lidio to assure proper fit. I think the options are 3.4 for the base kit and 8-9 lbs boost. Then the 3.2 for 9-11 lbs boost. Then 3.0 for 11-12 lbs boost. Then the smallest to date is 2.8 yielding 12-13.5 lbs boost. I am considering a custom 2.6 pulley for 15 lbs of boost, that would be the first Trilogy with that small of a pulley and that level of boost.

Side note, any Trilogy owners interersted in a billett aluminum 3.0 Pulley. It was on my car for a month while I waited for the 2.8 pulley. I really have no need for it, PM me an offer, I paid $139 for it.

I'm just gonna go for a 3.2 myself. I don't have headers, just a basic cat-back and would like to get over 400rwhp for the bragging rights at the local cruise-night, thinking a tune and 3.2 should do that for me.

I remember that Lidio once stated that the engine tune that he burns into the chips that the Trilogy kits include can be used for the 3.2" pullies too. He said that it's when you go past the 11 PSI mark that you'll then need an engine tune adjustment. It's probably best to call Lidio about this at Alternative Auto.

Lidio Sez:

Either the K&N FIPK OR a 3.2 Pulley. Not both.

That's what I remember...

That's what he told me also. Also, you will need to change the fuel pump.

That's what I remember...Yes! A very good point! I guess I had forgotten about that part since I've stayed with the factory intake tube, as well as the standard 3.4" 9.5 PSI pulley.

The guy I saw with a 3.2 mentioned nothing of the fuel pump.

My KB Boost-a-pump is set at 10. It goes much higher - figured that just had to be adjusted.

So...new pump too???

So...new pump too??? I don't remember Lidio ever mentioning any need for a different fuel pump with the 3.2" pulley either. I only remember that as Rider 90 pointed out, that for using the standard tune in the Trilogy chip, you can either go with the aftermarket intake tube OR the 3.2" pulley, and NOT both. Again, it's probably best to call Lidio on this.

OK, I'll have to drop him a line then. I also want to ask him about a shop nearby to me, I'd like to have him tune me but right now I can't make the trip to Detroit just for a tune so I need to be sure the local place is going to do me good.

Since I have the JLT, I would need a tune, anyway, I need dyno charts and want to be sure I'm not running lean. :)

Since I have the JLT, I would need a tune, anyway, I need dyno charts and want to be sure I'm not running lean. :) Then make sure that the place performing the tune isn't one of those places that measures the A/F ratio simply from a tailpipe sensor. :shake:

If it's a place that bores a hole on the muffler pipe, and welds a threaded bung in it to take the A/F ratio readings, then that's a sign that your car is in good hands. And that's according to Lidio himself, which I learned from him during a phone conversation that I had with him.

Lidio did what he calls an ass tune in my car when I went to the 3.2 pulley. Rick-N-Miami's Dad did the pulley change for me using great skill and pocket tools. Rick went to a 3.0 pulley at the same time and that conversion required the install of a SVT Focus Fuel pump and larger injectors plus an ass tune as I recall. Those changes made his car a beautiful "BEAST!" Wow. Lidio was great and indicated he would like to travel more next winter. Talk with Rick on how to set it up or call Lid. Dennis:D
