Due to personal reasons I am considering offering my Kenny Brown Marauder S for sale. This is the car that was featured in Car and Driver, both AutoWeek articles, as well as a couple of upcoming TV spots. This car has been featured at Pirelli's media event, is now at Kentucky Derby village.

The car is the prototype for Kenny’s Marauder S… what does this mean to you? This means that you get the top of the line products, i.e., polished calipers, zinc washed rotors, torque converter, drive shaft, etc. and the exclusivity of having the first supercharged marauder in private hands (to the best of my knoweldge) as well as having over 9.3 million people read about it in Car and Driver.

The car is mint, except for a minor scratch in the front bumper (thanks Mr. Magazine editor). The tires will be brand new, and it is absolutely flawless. Extras include a hard wired escort passport 8500, Alpine XM radio, Infinity Kappa speakers, remote start and alarm, extended warranty from Mercury, another set of stock tires, and numerous take off parts.

It kills me to have to consider selling this car! The retail price of this vehicle is 55,000. I am open to discussions regarding the sales price, PM or E-mail me and we can talk.

mensrea, I did not see the C/D article, ? did K/B just add the blower or did he do the engine for addition of the blower, ie. stud girdle, rings, basic lower end build?

Kenny basically left the engine stock, we're only running 7 lbs of boost, but with an intercooler the life expectancy should remain unchanged... here are the articles about the car

mensrea,

Say it isn't so! Well, if I tap into my daughter's school money for next year..... How did the tire pressure work out for you Friday? Did you get it dialed in? Like I told you on Friday, I run about 12 in mine, but they are not as wide as you had, plus the Chevelle is lighter, so I figured around 16 for you. I hope that you still have it for a few cruise nights coming up (they will all be starting in the next few weeks). Keep me posted on things.

No one is more upset at the thought of selling the car than I am trust me....

I got the tire pressure figured out, but took some time to figure out how to flash the torque converter, made consistent 13.00/12.9 runs. I know that this will get better once I figure out how to launch the car. I found the best bet was to leave the line at around 1200 RPMs and then floor it.

$55,000? I was thinking more like starting bid at $1 mil, but hey... :D

Sorry to hear that though man! That car of yours is bound to be legend!

55K is the cost of building the same car... I would like to think that depreciation woudln't be as much as a factor since the car is famous, or at least had a better social life than I have had

Bonus way down, raise way down = need to reduce toys.... the good thing is I hope to get anohter one in a year .... only it won't be as sweet as this one (whether you like Car and Driver or not, it's still cool as heck that my car was in it)....

I could move into the car down by the river.....

bill, i'm sorry to hear that you are selling the car. It was really sweet, and the fastest car that i have ever driven. I hope you get a lot of money for it, and i hope everything is okay with you.

Everything is fine with me..... I just can't afford to drive the car and live the way I want to :) ie.., roof, food, etc. I am one of many that have been hurt from the economy.... the bonus I was hoping for would have paid for the conversion, now that it went bye bye it might buy me a cup of coffee!

you should see if justin's dad would want to buy it, he has a crap load of toys. what's one more for him. plus, you could still drive it every so often.
if worse comes to worse, i'll trade you my 1972 bug, i know it's a big loss on my part, but i'm willing to make that sacrifice. jk

Bill- I think that with your cars famous nature you may be selling youself short, so to speak. Have you thought about putting it up on e-bay with a high reserve? Post links to kb and cd and such? Or... I don't know the legalities of this, you're the lawyer, could you raffle the car off. There are what 800 members here? At $100. bucks a ticket, you could help yourself out of your current situation. Mabye even enough to pay her off and replace with a new stock one? Just my thoughts. I'd find a $100 for a ticket for that, even in my unemployed state.

Bill, Have you looked into possibly exporting the vehicle to a out of country buyer? The folks over in Japan will sometimes pay big money for a car that has been in a magazine spread. If you have any interest in doing this I can get you some names of people dealing in this type of dealings it is just alot of work involved.
you have got to be beside youreself! or do you have other plans????

Thanks for announcing here, to us. Hope you make $$$ on the sale.
You might try advertising it on the west coast, or in a billionaire or billionairette publication. They may pay big $$$ for such a beautiful machine and legend!

Get those on DvD, and it would probebly add about 2-3 G's to your asking price.

Novel idea: Whay wouldn't KB buy it for resale or other purposes? Failing that, I would bet that a collector like Jay Leno would have a use for it. $50k is probably less than a day's pay for him, to boot.

Come on now... don't be shy.. If you have any interest in a supercharged, famous Marauder this is the one for you... I have had a couple of people make offers, but no one on this board. If you have any interest, email or PM me. I am considering all offers, so don't think I am looking for an Armored Car load of cash :)

Mensrea if I had the cash on hand I would buy your car in a minute! It is a sweet ride. If by chance you don't sell it by June/July, I may be able to work something out.
