LOL!!! No tie required. I wore my SFI jacket, its black with white cuffs, Ha that would be good road racing with a tux on!!!

What a great time! 4 Marauders driving, with one Marauder spectator, mixed in with a bunch of Mustangs!
I can hardly wait for next year!
Yep, I got the bug!:D Thanks again for the driving lesson Shakes:bows:
Pics and Vids to follow...
Too cool Marc! Nice job. Makes me want to go back ASAP!
I want to know the name of that song and artist.

Cake is the artist,Album is Prolonging the magic, song title is... Satan is my motor
How appropriate I thought as I wheeled through three hundred CD's to find the 'just right' music.
I want to know the name of that song and artist.
Great video, if that was your second session (I am guessing here) you are doing extremenly well, almost a perfect on the line run (tighten up 17 a little) It was great having you guys, hope that you will now start doing this more often. See you at the track.

Please let me know of the next event at a Florida track, SVTOA (oops, ahhh FPOA????) or any other.

Thanks, yes 17 and 7 were my nemsis this weekend, I saw god on turn 17 the next lap... he looks awfully a lot like a blue and white checkered wall with black streaks all over it. This was after a 120+mph run down the back straight to pass a Dennis, and Jeff Lacina (Lead Instrctr), left me with too much speed on entry, so I eased up a bit after that...
Actually found that carrying more speed and staying wider early on 17 let me come through faster and smoother.
Yes this was session 2 day 1.

Man, that looked like fun. Any chance I can get a version with no music? I want to hear what the car is doing. I've made many a lap around Sebring, and it made me smile to watch that. However, I think it's time to call Skip Barber. No way could I keep up with you.
Sure would be fun to see you go head-to-head with Gordon's Carrera, No?

We had a great time Ed!
Thanks for your hospitality!
We already have reservations at the Sheraton for next year, let us know if y'all have any discounted rates there, as the rooms are $170 a night.
By the way, tell your hotshot Mustang drivers to lighten up about our big ole "slow" Marauders...

Well the audio is fairly bad due to the wind noise. I need to tape over the mic and see if it helps. Anyone esle have experience with this?
As for Gordons Carrera, I need no encouragement, he'd kick my a$$, i cna improve a few spots and pick up the pace, but I reckon G is a good driver and with a great car...I'd be toast. But I would love to run with those boys if they'll have me!
Skip barber, do it. I'm doing the 3 day race school next month, this was a good primer, hell it was awesome. I see this video in my head all night for the last three nights, I have every turn memorized, but the video helps you see where you can improve, its not as evident when your slinging a 4400# car around.

Chuck I have some vids of all 4 marauders at speed, I'll post it when I have a chance to edit it down.
Nothing like a supercharged MM screaming down the straightaway, right Dennis and Marc? Almost as fun watching as it was driving! (Almost)

Yeah, Gordon can sling a car around the track, no question.
But, I think you'd make up a lot of ground on the back straight.
[Hmmm.:hmmm: Suncoast/Trilogy Motorsports Track Night at Sebring?]
You are on my mailing list. I think that the Chateau finally figured out that since they are the only hotel close to the track, they can charge what they want to. Especially now that the Panoz family no longer owns the hotel, it will get more expensive. It was great having you guys, and getting roughed up a bit is pretty normal, my next event at Sebring will be with a Porche club, and they pick on me a lot. :cool4:

Ed, we don't mind getting the raspberry and we kind of prize being a little different, hense the cars we love. I would be concerned if the guys complained we didn't give generous wave bye's. We enjoy breaking a few stones ourselves. We had a blast, can't wait to get back on the track. Your event was flawless in execution and a credit to a great organization. I loved being a part of it. It also has to be the best race school bargain in the country. Thanks again. Dennis :D :D

Marc. Wesman isn't going to find any porblems with this run. You ran the crap out of that track, every session. You are welcome for the wave bye's:D You are right God lives at Sunset. Glenn had me wider at the turn in, accelerate, trail break at the kink and excelerate hard on trailout to the wall and blast the front straight. Scary for me but very fast. What a blast. What a weekend. I am headed back to the gym. Stronger will help my focus, of course some more experience will let me relax a little where those take a breath spots on the track are. The engine and tire sounds would add drama to the otherwise excellent video and yes there is tremendous wind buffeting in our cars with all those really large windows down. My instructor even complained about it. I laughed after he gave a ride of a lifetime in this mustang. Strapped into the racing seats with 5 point harness it was like 20 minutes inside the washer dryer...and he complained about wind buffeting. My butt. You da man. Wind Noise?
Didn't hear a bit!!!
I was too busy listening to my instructor, and trying to keep it Silver side up!!!
For those of you that were thinking about going but didn't, save your vacation days for the same weekend next year.
Tons of fun!!!
Marc did great, specially with the 300 pound weight penalty on the passenger side!:D

Enjoyed meeting and pitting with y'all ... Look forward to
seeing you next year !!! Jeff actually asked me to take
one of you out in his place, because he thought I could show
you how to get a non-traditional vehicle (READ: BOAT!)
around the track. :D
And thanks to you and your wives for making my lady
feel comfortable at the event. She enjoyed shooting the

SVT_KY,
Great video and great driving! Way to collect that Porsche between the hairpin and the Collier chicane! You have the distinction of saying you passed a 911 at Sebring in the "Brick" . . . AWESOME!

Cliff,
great meeting you, holy cow you can drive the manure right out of that truck! I enjoyed the video ride along, and I also got to witness the after effects on your brake pads. Can anyone say midnite brake pad overhaul?
You were running race compound tires too, correct? Those street tires we were running (BFG KDWS) are okay, and forgiving, but a little short in the lateral grip departments.
Althoguh watching my in car cam and yours, I'm ready to try a different line through a few turns and see where I can carry more mph.

Yeah, Marc, those were Hoosier R3S04's Treadwear 80 I think.
3/32 " of tread when they are NEW ... LOL
305 30 R18''s and well worth every penny. I actually have enough
left on them for one more day, methinks.
But I have a brand new set of Toyo Proxis right here ready for Summit Point.
Getting to the "Brake parts and tires are consumables" is tough financial
and mentally. For guys that drive their daily driver on-track it also makes
you recite "I have to drive it home, I have to drive it home" going into
Sunset ... < Grin >
I think I still have about 10 or 15 percent more to go IF I WANTED to push it.
Say hi to all the guys and gals for me, eh? And tell the girls I really
appreciate their spending time with my date ... < smile >
Cliff
PS ... SEE Y'ALL NEXT YEAR, RIGHT?

I saw God at Sunset, he looks like a cement wall with blue and white stripes and rub marks all over. I took one hot and hairy run through there, I was passing a bit late going into it and was hauling the car down from somewhere north of 120... white knuckle ride...
"PS ... SEE Y'ALL NEXT YEAR, RIGHT?"
Oh hell yeah!!!

As Dennis said, some things are familiar, they were just going by a whole lot slower.
Can't wait till next year, gonna check out a Gainesville event in June.
