IMHO... next - underdrive pullies, colder plugs, colder thermostat, JLT (my preference) or K&N cold air intake & 4.10's.

Watch out... once you start moddin' you can't stop!!!!

The xcal2 is just the beginning. That's what I started with at DR's. Then it's...
Sway bars, CAI, brakes...then it's do I T/C or S/C???
Forged bottom end?

When does it end???
It doesn't...

Personally I think you should have started with the minor Bolt-ons and then got a tune to make everything work.
I would go with 4.10s next since Reinhart includes a 4.10 tune with each Xcal.

Good luck on your Modding!

See? This is why I have a problem.

Make that three, I want them too. :D I think most of us have this problem. Is there a name for this condition? I already know there's no cure....

More of a sound mod but I would choose new exhuast. I recently put the Flowmaster Super 40's on my Marauder and the sound is wonderful. I felt like I may have gained a few horsepower in the mid RPM range I'm not sure though.

I'd say for Mod #2, you have two VERY difference routes.

For low buck.....go gears (I like 4.10's)

If you got cash to spare....supercharger!

It's all in the cash flow!

I'm only repeating what others have said but do you want bling or performance?

If it's bling, there are all kinds of options from Gods Heads to inserts etc. most of which you can get from vendors on this board.

If it's performance, and again this is not just me, save your dollars and go directly to the S/C option. I know I'm biased, but I went gears, chip, plugs , stat etc, and if I had to do it all again, I would S/C first. It's not that the other mods aren't great, they are/were, but to me the S/C route is where you'll likely end up anyway. :burnout:

Answer is, it depends.
Is your Marauder under any kind of original or extended warranty? Mine is depended on for daily driving, and I can't afford to have the dealer blame any problems on a blower. My mods will be modest and mostly stealth until I get near the end of the ESP in about four and a half years. Meantime, I can stuff cash away for the blower. So far performance wise I have added a DR tune via xcal2, PHP airbox, Magnaflow mufflers. Tires were shot at 22000 miles so I went with KDW2 style - I needed tires badly and they were immediately available at the time I needed them via Tire Rack. I do hope to have the rear gears swapped out in the next few months. Appearance wise I recently had an OEM style spoiler added. Do I WANT a blower right now? Oh yeah!! Is it financially a good idea at this time? No. Everything depends on you and your finances (and your spouse if you have one).

Spouse if very much a large part of my next decision hahaha....But no more warranty on the car and it's my daily driver...I do happen to work at a shop though.....

Bobby, Glad you and Helen got home, safe and sound. thanks for hanging with us at Bradenton. And thanks for the special treat, just as good as I remembered. I have only had one as the Schooner is for "special occassions" only.

CanadaMarauder, I am a bad one to ask as I have only one focus...make the FruitPunch as much fun as possible as soon as possible. I didn't buy the car for the warrentee..the fun factor is all. So...don't ask, just know that now that you are old enough to have a license, buy a car and mod it there is no reason to wait other than to show off for your grandchildren. :D That is important enough to get an early start on! Get power, get it now. Any power train mod will screw your warrentee, so why not get a real one? I know, I told you not to ask. Good advise. Good luck. Dennis:)
