View Full Version : Diablo Sport MAFia
The local speed shop got 50 of these units today. According to the tuner these extenders will resolve the splicing and tuning issues related to other MAF extenders

Question? Is the product only made by Predator or do we get a choice?
And If it is only made by predator is it compatable with all other systems?

There are other brands out there just can not find the link at this time.

The MAFia is a “plug and Play” device that allows you to control one of the most important sensors on your car – THE MASS AIR METER. The MAFia’s principle use is to support a forced induction tuning systems by preventing the mass air meter signal from reaching its peak voltage.

If I were to purchase one of these MAFia's would I leave it pluged in all the
time or would I just let the mechanic use it when the car needs to be tuned?
Sorry for being so dumb but I haven't worked on cars since the late 50's.

Typically in boosted applicatins MAF conversions can require significant modification to the signal map to match it to actual flow. You can also run into a situation where your boost level has exceeded the chip and MAF's current scale. From what I understand this device is not needed for N/A Marauders.

Pro Flow (ProM) used to have a product, called the Calibrator or something like it. I remember when TurboVic used it and got reamed by Jerry W. because it screwed around with the MAF transfer function. But it had a knob that you could use to tweak the MAF.

I have one in My Marauder for over a year now. It was installed by Scott Beer at DiabloSport. Keep in mind mine had too be Custom Tuned once it was installed.

I have one also, mine will be installed on Monday by Scott Beer. I was told by him that its really only good for boosted applications, although it wouldnt hurt to put one on a N/A car, just not worth it. Theyre good for 900+ HP applications.
