What does this have to do with FORCED INDUCTION ???

What does this have to do with FORCED INDUCTION ???

About as much as Moser axles and differentials. Greg's an OEM distributor to the big boys. He's not exactly buying the ProCharger, Ford and other parts for his supercharger kits from the corner store. I think anything he can trickle down to us little guys is great.

Greg, I wish you did this a few months ago. Could have saved me some bucks, but that's how it goes. I've already got the COP connectors and like them very much. Thanks again for the sweet deal on the axles though.

I got mine in the first GB, and let me tell y'all...What a great overall improvement. Many minor driveability issues were resolved, and I never considered that it might be weak spark related. Prolly not show anything on a dyno, but you'll feel it for sure.

SergntMac, I do have Coil packs that put out 40,000 volts vs. our stock 30,000 volts, about a 25% increase over stock but here is the gig.

1. There is a spacer included to raise the height of the coil covers. These coil packs are larger in size than the stock ones. Your coil covers will be raised about 5/8 inch taller than stock.

2. You have to switch the polarity in the plug. (not a big deal)

Reatil price for 8 coil packs $633.00

MM.net Price $475.00

Hope that helps.

The coils sound interesting too.

I'd be ok with raising my coil covers since I'll never be driving it in the rain or power washing the engine bay again. Others might want to consider this since the coil covers have a gasket to seal the plug holes from water.

So, is there a minimum on the coils for a GB or is the price quoted qty 1?

Cheers!

Jack, you installed a whole supercharger kit on you car on your own. On the coil packs you just switch the connectors in the wire harness. The polarity is reversed because these are not OE Ford coil packs.

What Do These Parts Do? The Marauder engine is C O P driven, meaning "coil on plug", where each spark plug has it's own ignition coil. What connects the coil to the spark plug from the factory is a single coiled spring wire that looks like an oversized ball point pen spring, has about as much tension too.

The Granatelli replacement (what we're buying here) is braided steel line, boasting of "zero ohm resistance". I haven't tested this resistance, but I have installed the Granatelli connector on two Marauders, and solved a bunch of small ignition headaches, and I picked up some positive "seat-of-the-pants" performance. For the money involved, they do a great job.

No, this will work on stock engines.IMHO, prolly show the best results on a bone stock engine, 'cause super/turbo charging, even NOS and custom tunes, tend to overwhelm spark efficiency and conceal shortcomings to some degree. If you are really "in tune" with your stock engine behavior, you will probably appreciate this mod more than others with engine mods.

Mike.

Wires are not changed out. Its the connectors that you're buying (connects wire to "coil on plug"). That said, many have reported that the OEM connector metal springs get stretched out when being removed. They are literally as flimsy as Bic pen springs.

Out of the 8 I was able to remove 3 without stretching them out of shape. Once you see the difference (see me previous post with pics) you'll wonder how they worked in the first place.

Anyone not is on this should jump right now. This is a hell of a buy. We felt we did well at $119.00 shipped. this is a worthwhile upgrade that will really pay off especially when it comes time to change plugs. No worry about the spring connectors going woobie on ya. Just my 2 cents. Dennis:beer:
