View Full Version : polished OEM throttle body

I looked through old threads pertaining to modding(polishing)
the throttle body.
I know this is not origonal, and probably not worth much, in gains.
But it did not co$t much and it turned out nice!
I wish the outside of the tb, was as shiney! Still not out of the question
I will try and post pics later.
Who else tried this?

We've been doing these for a couple years now for the cobra boys. I've done a few MMs including mine and a bunch of mach 1s. On the dyno maybe 1 to 2 hp but the throttle response is much better. It does work much better when you port match into the plenum and do some changes there. With the tb, plenum and intake done I've seen as much as 28 hp. The real downside is if you take out to much and the blade does not seal it's a paper weight.

That post was dated last year, I however have a complete one with injectors and rails, Untouched.

nice pics !
I only polished the inside.
The stocker will never be as pretty as yours.
I tried to post a pic, no go.
I can try to e-mail it, if anyone is interested.
