WAIL (The Washington Area Impala Lovers) is hosting a Drag event at Mason Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown Md on June 4th. I contacted the President of their club to see if they were interested in some friendly competition. I am sure a few C.A.M members would be excited about this potential event. Below are the links to the WAIL site and Mason Dixon Dragway. If you are interested just post up.

I'm in for a maybe, I seem to recall an invite to something around that time, but who knows what, and this sounds like more fun anyway. ;) I'm a probable more than a maybe...so I just voted count me in.

It may co-incide with my return from the southland. As I get a better idea of when I will finish in the Tennessee Valley, I'll let you know.

Cannot make that. I could make an Impala Pinata to swing from a tree and take pictures of.......

That's a sick and twisted idea ..... but I like it !!! Maybe we could invite "BeaterBoy" and give him some batting lessons.

Not to start a lot of trash talkin'.....but......well..... .Ohhhhh, what the heck!

On their website one of their members boasts of his 'Race built 355 LT1 with a 4000 stall TC, 3.73 gears that's running consistent mid 13's (after only 8 transmissions!!!...)

I need to show them what a 'puny' modular motor, 2800 stall TC and 3:55s can do! heh heh heh...:D

BTW: It looks like Mason Dixon has a regular 'test & tune scheduled that same day...??

I got this e-mail from the local SS club today. I am going to take a look at the heads up class they are referring too. We may need to bring out the big guns for this event. I think I need a lawyer :director: and 5 hit men.

Hi Mark,

We sent your request to the guys in our Club that are primarily involved in running this race and they said you guys would be more than welcome to join in, see below ...

Karl, Dan and I discussed it and the email
Dan sent you was our decision. Please invite them
to the race on June 4 as well as on September 10th.
Please make sure they know that they can run in the
heads up race but the bracket race is just for
Impalas.

-Nabil

You can correspond directly with Nabil and Dan to work out all the details to get the Marauder guys up to speed on this deal. Regards,
Gary Cardarelli

Voted maybe for my dad. he got invited by a guy in an impala when we where up at MIR this past friday nite. so he's likin the ideal of spankin somemore impalas. And another guy will prolly show up with him, so chalk up two trilogy's fresh off a dyno tune to the prolly list. I would go too to Pit Beotch but i'll be in Carlisle.

I don't have any drags. Don't think I'm skilled enough to break into the 12's with stock tires.

what time is this starting? I couldn't find it on their site. Mason Dixon site said 12 but there are other things running at that time also.

Thanks
Chris

I haven't gotten my drags yet either, gotta get off my butt and ask around again for V6 mustang rims.

I'm probably going to miss that weekend. I may go to Carlisle on the 3rd and a family committment on the 4th.
